You honestly believe he had no say-so in roster acquisitions during his entire Laker tenure as head coach?

No one puts a gun to the heads of the Earl Watsons of the world when they decide to become the head coach of a perennial lottery team. I've seen Laker fans complain about his lack of coaching ability during his entire tenure, but now it's LeBron's fault he's been bad for 3 years?

Jeanie Buss runs the organization, not LeBron. She's made that clear. Find a new scapegoat.

At no point were the Lakers respectable during Luke's entire tenure. You've got to be kidding.

You should roll your eyes again. Nothing you said made sense, but that will change everything.

What doesn't make sense is blaming LeBron for all of your organization's shortcomings when Jeanie's made it abundantly clear she runs the Lakers; but continue to cultivate your own reality to help you sleep better at night.

Interesting that you say this after I make a post specifically singling out Magic for his role in destroying the Lakers roster year after year. And then have the nerve to say i'm cultivating my own reality.

Maybe Lebron pays you on commission. I don't know. It doesn't seem like you have any real grasp of what I'm actually saying, but if you feel strongly enough to spam multiple eye-roll emoji's in the same post, I'm guessing it doesn't really matter.

Good that Luke can take his wars somewhere else. The lakers have enough wars to deal with within the organization from the sound of things.
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.
Boo.

I hope he turns down the Kings. Not enough stability. Go to CLE. He's played for CLE and coached Nance and Clarkson. Sexton, Nance, '19 1st is a nice core to build around no pressure.

Not sure why everyone seems keen on the Kings job. The team is set to regress next season.

Vlade/Vivek are one of the worst trash Owner/GM duos. Cannot draft worth a lick and they cut fire good coaches. First Malone, now Joerger, who although wasn't as good as Malone, still did not deserve to be axed. From one crap show to another. Yeah, that's a real tempting job.

I'd like to see him in Memphis.

I hope the Lakers and folks asking for Luke's firing fall on their face for their dismal performance and rosters. Seriously....no coach will make a difference w/ what they have...bunch of clowns who are selfish and couldn't play team basketball. I can't wait to LOL w/ their failure next year.

You already have a coach Lebron on the team. He makes all the calls..he makes all the roster approval...everything goes through him. He knows it..owner knows it....you don't want a disgruntle Lebron or else he'll threaten to leave or fire whoever goes against him. You can bet he will be part of every meeting...draft...etc.

Only reason why they're hiring a coach because it's a requirement to have a coach LOL.... I wouldn't be surprised they offer it to Lue as their next puppet coach...

Respect to Luke for stepping down in a classy way. He clearly loves the Lakers, and helped the dysfunctional FO a lot by doing so. I'm not sure I would have acted the same if I were in his position.

Lakers are in a much better position now that they split up the idiotic Magic/Jeanie tandem. Now Rob should be straight out fired.
If I were Jeanie, I would clear out the entire coaching staff, player development and scouting personnel, and most of the FO. Consult with well-respected NBA experts as to who to hire as Pres and GM, and start strategizing draft day. Committing to a coach now is pointless, unless you are going to hire Kawhi's uncle.

Whoever is running the Lakers will have immense pressure. Failing to get another superstar this summer would be an enormous disappointment and result in another FO and roster overhaul. Ultimately, the onus falls on Lebron's shoulders. I think in previous years he enjoyed running the Cavs, but now he's feeling the pressure. He's gonna get the blame if no superstar decides to join the Lakers, even though it shouldn't fall on him. But that's what he signed up for.

Picc, this was your very first post in the thread.

picc wrote:Of course he got Lebron'd. Never had a chance. That's what happens with the guy.

This was your immediate next post in the thread.

picc wrote:Not Luke's fault the team was terrible. Lebron had a losing record while playing this season. Maybe they should fire him with your backwards logic.

This was within your third post in the thread:

picc wrote:I guess Ty Lue and Jason Kidd are gonna ride in and save the day with their perfect schemes and rotations? **** outta here.

Now who's linked to Ty Lue and Jason Kidd? Let's not try to move the goalposts here and pretend your primary beef is with Magic in regards to Luke's firing. For that look no further than your first post, which is what the crux of my counterargument was predicated upon.

Sad to see you still in the mode to dump on Sacramento when popular opinion now considers them to be vast improvement over the Lakers as an organization.
