As word spread through the Lakers' organization and the NBA, several people wondered whether Johnson's departure was related to a yet-to-be-published article by ESPN that is said to address allegations about Johnson's conduct with employees.

"That story is wrong," Johnson told the Los Angeles Times.

He probably got fired. Jeanie Buss was frustrated with the **** show the team was and he got fired and he didn't tell anyone to save face and then he announced it to the media. That's about it.
Good assessment:

The fans on the 76ers board are actually worried about their matchup with the Nets.

Might be a series to keep an eye on. Especially if Embiid is mysteriously absent for the first round. (that franchise can't help but grossly lie about their player's injuries it seems).

The more I read the more it becomes clear that Jeanie is the ringleader of the **** show. She got no idea what she's doing.

Well a person who's been rich their entire life and I have no idea how many businesses she has ran is running a 3-4-5 billion sports team. And she probably isn't too much into basketball... I'm guessing but it's hard to see a woman who isn't a true b-ball fan by heart like for example we got here on the forum, run the most famous worldwide b-ball team... It's a recipe for disaster.

If Silver's gonna shorten the season to put more emphasis on the playoffs, I suppose he might as well go ahead with an NIT tourney for the lottery teams too:

Philly is so overrated. I still expect them to take the series but always thought it would go 6-7.

If Embiid is that injured though (he only played 24 mins) then can totally see Brooklyn advancing.

Here in Philly, the city is burning right now. The despair and anger on the radio is nothing short of glorious!

ESPN Australia is a joke :banghead: games start at 3 30 in the morning over here so recorded them so I can get up & watch them now. Turned on the recordings & find out their not showing the games even though their listed on the ESPN programming schedule here !
