If anyone is a big Rogan fan he had a neat show called “Joe Rogan questions everything”. There’s a really interesting episode on artificial intelligence where he speaks with guys from N.A.S.A, speaker to the most intelligent human looking robot yet created and the dangers of where we are going with A.I.

Season 2 just came out and there is a new character that looks a lot like Kyrie...like a brother or cousin. By the end of the season he becomes even more like Kyrie...not to spoil anything. It was a great second season and hilarious seeing this dude.

I just got through season 2. It was a little weird for me where it went with the house. Like any time travel type of stuff it gets confusing to me sometimes. There were some really strange random things like a moment when the lead is on a stage and someone talking to her( I’m being purposefully vague ‘cuz I don’t wanna be a spoiler). Did you understand that character?

I don’t watch network tv. It’s too formulaic for me. I totally understand why but I’m bummed Netflix jacked up their price and has so much less content. Disney is gonna maybe gonna be the nail in the coffin (although I think they’re done without Disney too). Stinks especially for me because I don’t enjoy the Marvel movies and I don’t have kids so we’re not watching a bunch of Disney stuff yet I’m interested in the Star Wars Mandalorian series a bunch and will likely be getting that service for a single show.

Yea I had to go online and watch a few youtube summaries, explained a lot. Certainly some small things I missed.

I’m not sure if they’ll be referring to Luke, Anakin, Rey being a Skywalker? I got a guess on that but I think the title leaves questions. The end... cooool.

Yeah, I didn't like how he popped out on stage afterwards. I logged off immediately as soon as the trailer finished and was having a discussion with my co-worker about whether that laugh belonged to Snoke or Palpatine. Now we know who it is.

As for Rise of Skywalker......well, maybe Luke figured out how to come back to life. Didn't they hint at Qui-gon trying to figure that out back in Episode 3?

I didn’t see the stage stuff. I hear I never questioned that was Palpatine’s laugh. I don’t think Snoke sounds like that. ( IMO) that laugh is as distinctive as Dr. Evil’s.
In Episode 3, Yoda just reveals to Obi- Wan that he has heard from Qui-Gon and has taught him the ability to retain consciousness after death. ( Force Ghost)
Nerd Alert: In the canonized Clone Wars cartoon Yoda is guided by Qui-Gon’s voice to capturing the ability to retain consciousness after death but there’s been no hinting at complete resurrection in anything canon, that I’m aware of. In that episode Qui-Gon is represented by some fluttering looking circles .. almost like fireflies. So I think they were implying Qui-Gon didn’t have the ability himself to be a force ghost. I may have missed something or forgot something ,though. . I haven’t seen all of the “Rebels” cartoon, either.
I’ve got a lot of thoughts on this flick. ( Super Nerd alert)Things I’d like to see, things J.J. APPEARED to be setting up on Ep. 7, and things that they may have thought to play it safe on.
If I’m the director of this movie, there is NO way am I gonna be the guy responsible for ending the Skywalker name. Nerd rage is absolutely insane. I’m not sure Zach Snyder can walk down a busy street not thinking “ is some complete stranger going to give me crap today to my face while I’m minding my own business? I bet that’s every single day. I’d want to move to a cabin in the mountains. Lol. I joke but it really is potentially a quality of life thing . I’d let someone else do that. Not gonna be me.
I think J.J. intended for Rey to be a Skywalker. She had visions when she touched Luke’s saber. It was “ calling to her.”
This doesn't have to mean she is Luke’s daughter.
There were rumors Ep 7 was gonna start with Luke’s hand clutching the saber, floating in space. I think this was dismissed for being silly but it may reveal some intentions if that was a real thing. I’m thinking she was intended to be a clone of Luke.
Another way they could go is she’s a clone of Anakin. George Lucas liked to say in the past it was Vader’s story even more than Luke’s and Darth Vader is the iconic “face” of Star Wars. I’m going with she’s a Vader Clone at this point. This would be able to explain her being more powerful than Kylo Ren who was trained by Luke Skywalker AND Snoke. There are sooo many lines throughout the saga about training, training, training. Even Snoke is talking about Kylo’s training and him getting beat by somebody untrained. Sadly, I think Rian Johnson just wanted to play ideologies and just grant her skill because she’s a woman or something.. I dunno. That was a weird movie for me.
Kylo says in Ep7, “ Show me the Dark Side again, grandfather.” AGAIN. It sounds like Anakin has communicated with Kylo.
But why would the Anakin spirit be evil? Wasn’t he redeemed and shown beside Yoda and Obi Wan at the end of Return of The Jedi?
Maybe after slaughtering younglngs not to mention a whole lot of other killing, being cool with blowing up entire planets of people etc. he’s not off the hook. Maybe there’s a good ghost AND a bad ghost. Like a split personality. Maybe this could be a goal of Luke’s. Healing his father’s Spirit in the afterlife. Like magically healing a split personality.
This would MAYBE give them a chance to redeem Kylo Ren as well. Maybe he has been literally HAUNTED by Darth Vader’s spirit. Like mind control. So when Vader’s spirit is no more, the hold on Kylo is broken and he’s not responsible for all the horror and Abrams doesn’t have to copy Return of the Jedi. They could just have Rey kill Kylo in a duel but she’s already beat him with no training. He’s already the underdog in that matchup. That seems anti-climactic.
With Palpatine’s laugh at the end, maybe HIS evil spirit has been masquerading as Anakin through the mask and has some mind control over Kylo.

Great start to GoT for the final 6 episodes. Gonna be a bumpy ride to the finish!

Had a gig the other night at a beach pub that sits next door to a major music venue. When they have high ticket prices over there it pushes a lot of traffic my way and the show next door also ended early so the pub started filling up in my 3rd set and I ended up playing a half hour over because fun. Right after I finish breaking down and loading up my gear, in walks mr John Popper just for a second, then he left. Very nearly coulda done a tune with the man if I had been playing for another 10 minutes but I'm also pretty sure I would've botched whatever I was doing on the spot when I saw him. Still pretty cool tho.

My thoughts on GoT - Season 8, episode 1

Spoiler:
- Cersei giving up the goods to scumbag Euron?? Gross
- me actually rooting for Jaime to be with Cersei - more gross than my first point. Only GoT would have fans openly rooting for incest.
- 1st episode seemed like it was just getting all of the reunions out of the way (the Hound and Arya, Sansa and Tyrion, Bran and Jon, Arya and Jon, Jon and Sam, etc)
- Winterfell seems low-key racist based on the looks being given to Grey-Worm and Missandei. Lol
- lol at the Dragons looking confused, probably thinking "Jon, my guy - you are awfully close to your auntie"
- I'm secretly hoping for a cat fight between Daenerys and Sansa

After the awful Episode 8 I could care less about star wars unless it's a Obi Wan movie or a 3rd kotor game.

I think they would butcher an Obi-Wan movie much like they did the Solo movie
