Hawks future, how excited are you?

Post#1 » by Buzzard » Sat Apr 13, 2019 7:56 am

With the recent success of the rebuilt Braves and the always strong football region in the Atlanta, I was wondering how excited are we with these young upstart Hawks. Myself, I am so excited about the Hawks, I have been paying very little attention to the upcoming NFL Draft. To give you an idea, I have scheduled PTO around the NFL Draft just to make sure I could watch it all and sleep in. Not this year fellow Hawks fans. I have been so caught up in our young team, I have barely given the NFL Draft much thought. I still want the Falcons to do well, but I have done zero research on the best prospects the Falcons will likely target.

So for me I can honestly say, I am more excited about the Hawks future prospects than the Falcons or the Braves. To clarify, I think the Falcons still have the best chance of winning a Championship in the immediate future, but I am more excited about the Hawks. It has been a long long time since I could say this. Pick the team you are most excited about for their future outlook. Thanks and enjoy!

Being a Hawks and Braves fan I think both are going to some nice places soon. Both super bright futures. I guess Hawks a notch above Braves in this rebuild to me. But with names like Trae, Collins, Huerter, Albies, Acuna, and Swanson, you have to know the future is bright.

:D

You left out Atlanta United and the Atlanta Dream.

I don't follow Atlanta United but they have some great fans. They didn't come here to follow their team from back home.
The Atlanta Dream, our WNBA team, plays some very exciting basketball and can be a fix for any fan missing their NBA.

I am always expecting great things from all Atlanta teams. Yep. I'm excited about the future of all of them.

GO ATLANTA PRO TEAMS !!!

As a side note. Looks like that Philly's tank did not work. Ben Simmons is an absolute disaster now. Can't shoot outside 3 feet nor can he hit free throw and is definitely not an exceptional playmaker. Embiid looks like an early retirement candidate.

Very difficult poll to choose from. Love the fact that the Braves and Hawks are on the rise. Such young exciting big names in this city now. I hope to see Acuna, Albies, Swanson, Collins, Trae, Kev all supporting each other at games. I do see Chipper Jones at games here and there. I know Chipper and Nique always stayed close. I hope to see the same with our youngins.

It should be the Braves because of the presence of Acuna, Albies and the best young pitching farm system in baseball but I don't trust their ownership at all. Ressler and Blank are much better owners and it all starts at the top. It's a bright future for all three and I just hope for at least 1 championship between them.

Braves and Hawks did a lot of retooling and tanking and it's no surprise they got bright futures. It's not the Falcons.

Never have truer words been typed on a keyboard. I would've voted for the Braves as well but I trust Liberty Media about as much as I trusted Rankin Smith and the Notorious ASG when they were running the Hawks, Thrashers, and Falcons into the ground. To this point, they absolutely look the part of being too tight-fisted with $$$ to make the final move, the finishing maneuver needed to get over the hump. And being that the Falcons are tied into veteran guys needing to recapture the lost magic from 2016 and AU still adjusting to Tata Martino no longer running the show, I'll go with the Hawks for right now.

Couldn't name 1 player on either the Falcons or the Braves so this is an easy one for me.

I'm most excited about the Hawks but the Braves are the most set for long-term success right now. The Hawks have more moving pieces and key decisions ahead of them to become contenders.

Because I'm not sure what the poll is asking I'm not answering for the moment. Most excited about my Hawks but if I were team and sport neutral, I'd go with the Braves.

Braves baseball looks good too. It's nice having the young talent signed longterm.

The Braves are ahead of the Hawks. Acuna is a superstar. The Hawks dont have that kind of talent.

I beg to differ. Trae is on that level.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
