You guys shot 48% from 3pt and 90% from the FT line. Both way above season averages

We were 33% from 3pt and 64% from the FT line.

We missed so many open 3pters it was pathetic. Toronto had 4 more wide open looks and 3 more open looks and still shot 15% worse from 3pt, despite shooting better on those shots throughout the entire season.

The Raptors were able to get great looks but were just ice cold.

This played out exactly how I expected us to lose, the Magic would have be be hot from 3 to win a close game.

I agree the Magic's top players will also play better, but you had big contributions from other players which are not likely to be replicated and same goes with the 3pt shooting and FT %.

Still think this is a 5-6 game series. I still think most games will be close with a couple blowouts in the Raptors favor

Yea, Gordona nd Vuc didn't shoot well at all. I was and still am expected Vuc to dominate the series, regardless of whether the Magic lose or not.. I think he's physical and skilled enough and I don't see who can guard him on that Raptors team.

You don’t see anyone that can guard Vucevic? What about Gasol, the guy that contested pretty much all of Vucevic’s shots and made him shoot 3/14. If Raptors didnt have Gasol then I agree Vuc would be dropping 30ppg on Ibaka.

vuc had no energy this game he missed wed game and Thursday practice with stomach virus don't think he was full strength but we will see

The last regular season game between Raps/Magic, Gaosl held Vucevic to 13 points on 5/14 shooting.....if Gasol keeps Vucevic under 16 points in game 2 then we should start giving him credit.

Orlando won game 1 behind superior 3-point shooting, while Toronto struggled from 3-point. Over the long term, those shooting percentages will normalize. I expect Toronto to prevail, but will watch with interest.

The one thing that gives me hope is his shooting stroke. It looks very fluid and solid.

His defense is already out of this world.

Raptor fans might want to wake up and realize the Magic have had the #1 defense in NBA since February 1st and finished the season 21-9. This is surprising no one in Orlando.

No one needs to "wake up" outside of our stans or trolls. The vast majority of our board/fanbase is fully aware of it and it's why many were annoyed that our luck we got THE hottest team out of the lower seeds (including the Pacers) in the East - most wanted DET and they looked like they were going to be our match up right until the last few games smh lol.

I personally hate the match up because as you can see from my account (which has been this way for weeks, if not months), the Magic are a team I've been routing for (specifically because I love Isaac as a prospect who I've been reppin since he was drafted) and now I can't really cheer you guys anymore obviously lol

But yes for the stans/trolls of our fanbase that think this first game was a fluke, they're just clueless or ignorant because yeah ORL is a young team that seems to have found their team's identity/style of play since the ASB and they're arguably more on par with 4-5th seed now, this won't be an easy series...

Wakeup? That stat is misleading because they had one of the easiest schedules since February 1st

The Magic gave up 7 more wide open or open 3Pt looks compared to Toronto. SEVEN!

This had nothing to do with the Magic's defense unless their game plan is to give up wide open 3's. The Magic just hit 3pters way above their average and the Raptors missed wide open 3's despite the Raptors contesting the 3 better

Both teams had top players in a funk, but Magic's role players stepped up big time and were hot from 3pt land plus hit 90% of there FT.

Orlando is a very good young team with a lot of potential, they are well coached and they play hard. That being said, if the Toronto Raptors cannot get past them then they don't deserve to go through and they would seriously need to think about moving some of their main pieces this off-season...and that's not a hot take.

Toronto fans have trolls but trust me, our fanbase has just as many when we were winning and also people who like to whine a lot, I mean, every fanbase has it.

All I know is I'm happy how the team is competing. I never expected to get past the first round, let alone the playoffs, so winning would be great, and now that we stole a win, I want us to be greedy and try to do that. That being said, Toronto has been great all year and is the number two seed for a reason. I know the Magic players aren't talking as cocky as some of our fans are, so that's good. It kinda reminds me of our 2009 finals run when the Magic actually were down 1-2 to the Sixers and had to win G4 at Philadelphia as a must win. We still won the series in 6 and I think Dwight even got suspended for a game. So Toronto shouldn't have anything to worry about unless they go down 3-0.

Rewatching the game and seeing how trash Augstine's defense on Lowry was just makes you wonder how much of a mental midget Klow is. Then on top of not doing anything on offense, he got killed on defense lol

I sure give him credit right now! he shut him down ..did not mean to come across like that at all..just hoping vuc can score and rebound better he played like he was weak..also just wanted to not be swept..now that has not happened want to win 1 more game ..then will just hope for 7 games..lol

I'm rooting for Orlando, but if I'm not mistaken their schedule to end the season was pretty easy... Almost the reverse of the Nets schedule in some ways.

Their defense is real but the "21-9" record is a bit misleading...

The last 5 games were "easy" but the second half was pretty hard. Had to get some difficult wins (we also blew some easy wins too) at Indiana x2, Milwaukee, Toronto, Boston, Miami, vs Philly, vs Warriors, etc. We got a bit lucky with some players being out like Giannis and Kawhi.

0 points.....knowing he has a monkey on his back he needs to knock off with no Derozan to blame. Has 2 free throws knowing he will be scoreless if he doesn't knock them down, and doesn't knock them down.

Biggest shook one I've ever seen, a glorified Raymond Felton.

Except not as chunky as Raymond Felton.
