DB - do you think I should be playing the pre-sequel before BL3 comes out? Or is it mostly unnecessary?

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
I think I've had my fill of PoE this league and need a break from ARPGs (I've put in 200+ hrs the past 2 leagues/6mos, so ready for a change of pace). I've done my standard thing where I lose interest in going back to the games I was only partway through, so I'm looking for something new.
Was thinking of either Metro Exodus or Forza Horizon 4. Or maybe The Show? I don't know...I've been gone from that game for 5+ years and now RTTS mode almost looks too much like an RPG for my liking in the genre, so I'm not sure how much interest I'd have.
Anyone have thoughts on those or any other recent recommendations?

I've been in the same boat for the same reasons.

Right? I don't need to design my room, talk to other players, lift weights, etc. Come on now.

I really used to think it was the perfect sports game, once they let you edit player potential. The shift to making it like a tedious RPG over the last few years has killed my interest, particularly when they haven't made any real strides in the franchise mode.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
Microsoft has a spring sale going right now, and one of the deals is their GamePass service for 3 months for $1. Forza 4 Horizon and an interesting new RPG dungeon crawler, Operencia, are both available on PC.
So I'mma play those for $1 the next 3 months

You guys. You. Guys. If you have a PC or Xbox, you should be getting the $1/3mos GamePass and playing Forza. **** is this fun.

Thanks for the heads up. That's a pretty crazy deal. I played Horizon 3 and enjoyed it.

Okay seriously this was such a clutch head's up. I have my Xbone in my living room because that's not where I game, but I'd been looking for a reason to play there because for an hour a day the girl works out where the PS4 is. I installed Return to Arkham and Arkham Asylum holds up.
The only thing is I wanted to get the dollar deal but they automatically gave me this 14 day trial. I mean, thanks, but I'd just rather pay $3 for the next three months.

Damn, that sucks about funneling you into the trial. I signed-up on PC online so probably a different experience.
And not to rub salt in your wound - especially over just $2 - but it's literally $1total for 3 months

I'm literally gonna call MS if I have to. That deal rules.
ETA: I ended up calling customer service and after a brief automated thing I got hooked up with a dude who was SUPER helpful getting me the deal. I've honestly never experienced such great customer service. Made sure to tell the guy that.

A feature to Transfer Your Save Data is now available, allowing you to transfer your save data for individual games between your Nintendo Switch systems
Go to System Settings > Data Management > Transfer Your Save Data
Save data will not remain on your source system after the transfer process completes
A Sort Software feature is available after selecting to view All Software from the HOME Menu
Software can be sorted by time last played, total play time, software title, and software publisher
The All Software option displays when there are 13 or more software icons on the HOME Menu

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
I'm a Souls vet, having beaten all the games including platinuming Demons and Dark. Having a lot of issues with Sekiro though. Honestly, my experience has been frustrating so far (just a few hours in). The hitboxes have been a little janky and the enemy tracking feels unfair at times.
I know, I know, git gud.

I don't think I'm going to get this, but that was a great trailer for that target audience lol

Have you watched streams of RTTS? I still enjoy it a lot personally; I don't find it to be too RPG-like. I'm not a big RPG guy but maybe I have a little more tolerance for it than you do, idk. RTTS isn't like 2K where you have cut scenes after every game, have to respond to interview questions, etc (at least up until this year's MLB anyways). I haven't bought this year's game yet, but from reading about it, I think this year's game went a little more in the RPG direction but I don't think it's anywhere near 2K in that regard yet. Still seems like you're mostly just playing the games with an occasional cut scene mixed in. RTTS remains my favorite career mode ever by a pretty significant margin; it's just so much easier to get through games in MLB than it is any other sports game (despite my overall love for 2K).

Excellent, all sounds good to me. SSD is a no brainer for next gen, but the anecdotal report of going from 15 to .8 second load times is absolutely amazing.
