Shamet though....not doing anything amazing out there but solid on both ends.

And are you banking on Shamet rising above just being role player with covetable brain and shooting? I think we're going overboard with the Shamet regret.

Considering he was expiring, the Clippers didn't want him back at anything over 4-80, and they were trying to clear cap for two max slots... I'd say that lotto protected 2020 1st plus the expirings were enough for Harris. I'd also add the Clippers have been better without Tobias. Granted, that has to do with the absolute fluke that is Gallinari going the whole year without getting hurt, but still.

You can say we should have demanded to keep Shamet out of the deal. We can also say we should have demanded for Terrence Ross to be included in the Orlando deal. We don't know how the conversations went.
You really would walk away from a deal for Harris over the Clippers demanding the inclusion of Landry Shamet, though?

Shamet is not an NBA starter, nor is he ever likely to be IMO. Plug Cov in there (or Kawhi?) and it gets much more interesting.
