Re: ECQF | P2 (2) Toronto Raptors vs (7) Orlando Magic
Magic were elite their last 30 games.
They would sweep current DET, probably beat IND in 5, and could beat BKN as well (6-7 games)
Def not an average 7 seed

Orlando barely cracked .500 they aren't good at all
The team that got into the playoffs and is making 2 out of 3 games competitive against your team isn't even "good?"
Okay.
He's not a Raptor fan. He's a hater denigrating the Magic in an attempt to make the Raptors looks bad. Anyone that watches the game knows the Magic were the hottest team in the East coming into the playoffs. I'd have much rather drawn DET or BRK in the first round.

Anyone have his FG% in close games in the last minute?
He is actually like the leagues second highest fg% in the clutch last time the stats was mentioned.
I must catch all his misses then

Never mind then.

Hey magic fans,
Why wasn't Isaac in the game the last 5 minutes?

No idea. Clifford has done it a lot this season even when Ross and Fournier were sucking and Isaac had a decent offensive game. Guess he doesn't trust his offense enough but it was obvious tonight that we needed length and size there because Fournier wasn't going to do ****.

1 game is a small sample, but we're seeing a serious trend after three games now.Grape wrote:CptCanada wrote:My God this game was so disgustingly officiated that it is hard to even enjoy the win.
Raptors - 9-10
Magic - 22-23
Here is the dumb thing, they got caught trying to control the narrative and failed. This series is essentially over now because they are going to try and save face by favouring the Raptors in the remaining two games of the series. Its so stupid how the NBA does this crap.
No ones trying to control the narrative smh.
Citing free throws in a small sample is such a horrible way to look at things
Orlando: 22.3 FTA, 35.7 3FGA, 32.7 points in the paint
Toronto: 13.7 FTA, 33 3FGA, 45.3 points in the paint
Both the eye test and stats have shown that Toronto has been more determined to drive (especially tonight), yet they've been completely hosed by the officials. Toronto is averaging 8.3 LESS FTA while Orlando is averaging 3.1 MORE FTA compared to the regular season. Heck, Siakam has 60 FGA this series (just 11 3FGA), but he only has a total of 4 FTA.

crazy thing is it was a net benefit, he made the 3 and we didn't exploit him vs pascal.

The excuses to save face is already out, a team plays good ball a 1/3 of the season and all of a sudden they're a good team.... no they're average their 42-40 says it so does their roster, essentially the same roster that was a bottom 7 team last year, they aren't automatically some powerhouse. They had to get hot to even make the playoffs and if the raps were anything other than pretenders they'd ve getting the brooms out

If we were smart, we would have gone at the Siakam / Fournier matchup the entire time.
Man Isaac is a beast. Nice find.

Clifford said he preferred Evan's play-making out there. It was an obvious mistake.

I don't think the Raps played their best game but it felt like the Magic beat themselves tonight with the horrible shooting and rebounding.

Do you understand trends?
What is more representative of them, their play leading to the playoffs OR their play earlier in the season?

I don't understand why it has to be one or the other...
The starting lineup is DJ/Evan/Isaac/AG/Vuc is it not?! I'm obviously not complaining but I don't follow Clifford's reasoning especially when Siakam was the only guy who had it going.

Yes the larger sample size, every team has a hot streak, the larger sample size says their average as their record, and if u dont understand that, then you dont want to

It should have been DJ/Ross/Isaac/AG/Vuc considering how hot Ross was. It seemed like a no-brainer for almost everyone except for Clifford. That said, Isaac almost always is watching from the bench during close games in favor for the lineup Clifford had out there tonight.
