This is the best chance we will have to win a game. We're at home and Vic will be in the building.

If we lose, we'll get swept...a win and maybe the series goes 6 or 7 games.

Looks like Vic had travel issues and wont be in Indy for the game. Bummer

Gah. I thought Tyreke played pretty well though.

Why didn’t Tyreke play more in the 4th Q? I know he has struggle all season but he was on fire.

Our bigs have their issues but we honestly don't have a single guard worth a spot on the roster next year that's gotten minutes in this series except maybe Matthews. Not one of them can reliably get into the offense before half the clock is gone. That's a really steep uphill battle every night. Some of it is Nate but the trio of DC, Evans, and CoJo couldn't do that for Pop imo.

From Tony East on Twitter:

Thad on if he was surprised that Tyreke was taken out late: “we have a rotation”

Guess that explains it

Another game in my Fire Nate tally...

Another winnable game that came down to mental errors, hustle plays, and free throws.

Maybe we salvage a game at home with Vic here, next time.

Jake always respect your insight. There was plenty I was unhappy with Nate about in this game. But, as you eluded to mental errors, hustle plays, and free throws. Curious as to why you feel that falls on Nate?

I've been complaining all season that he seems to lack any "touch" around the basket. Seems like he kind just throws it at the rim sometimes.

exactly my complaint. I hate substituting by the clock. yes, I'm repeating myself.

the glass isn't totally empty. half full if you wish. we finished 5th. we're showing that we weren't any better than that, but we are not showing that we belonged in the lottery.

we would have thought that we were built for the more physical game in the playoffs when fewer fouls are called. it turns out that Brad Stevens has pulled the normal Boston playoff strategy. just like the Patriots he's taken away the opponents best weapon (Bogie) and made someone else beat them. we've been in all three games. our defense has been reasonable - that first quarter 3 point barrage was their good, not our bad. in each game we've had a dry spell and the coaches have not sent someone else out there.

you can't just blame execution. doing the same thing and expecting different results ...
