I’d be thrilled if we can get him at 20, he has definitely fallen under the radar thanks to Herro and PJ Washington stepping up at Kentucky. Wasn’t that he was bad or a slouch, but those 2 really upped their games and he stayed consistent.

What's your opinion of Herro at 20? Assume you watch UK games. What little I've seen of him tells me he really knows how to play. Would he have enough athleticism to make it in the NBA? I know this is just HS, but I've liked him since I saw this:

I'd take him at #20, if we're picking. He has the mentality, he's fairly tough and very skilled on offense from what I've seen. Good size for a SG.

He’s a better pure shooter than Keldon. I think Keldon is a more complete player. If Keldon is gone,I’d be interested in Herro. He has that Booker swagger and shot but less athletic. I don’t see star potential but solid role player with a good shot, something like maybe a Steve Kerr.

Theres no possible freaking way the Celtics keep all 4. Right? I mean with a roster of vets like Hayward and Horford coming back it doesn't make sense to blow it up and start over. If anything I'd trade all 4 and try to get into the top 3-4.

What do you guys think about Rui Hachimura? I've liked a lot what I saw from him and I believe he'll be a solid NBA player, what I liked most was his competitiviness and his "team first" like personality...

I'd say poor man's PJ Washington.

Stats as an upperclassman in the WCC don't mean a ton. His rebounding numbers, given his height and conference, haven't been too impressive, which usually isn't a great sign.

I watched Gonzaga play Texas Tech in the final four; he had like three unforced turnovers, took some bad shots (at least one terrible shot down the stretch). According to his nbadraft.net profile, he has a questionable feel for the game, although this is supposedly in part because he got a late start playing competitive basketball. His A/TO ratio has improved year by year.

I'd say he's in a Ryan Gomes mold, better upside but lower floor as I think Gomes had a better feel for the game.

Defensive versatility would be big, and as a 2 guard he's a good replacement for whichever of Jaylen/Jayson/Smart we might trade.. or, with no trade, adds depth anyway.

Seems like a player who will rise in the pre-draft process, especially if he has some good turns shooting at work-outs.

I am by no way a draft expert. I haven't seen the kid play. My limited knowledge of him is stats. .2 blocks a game at almost 6'7" in college? .8steals? 30 mins per game?

Listed as having a small wingspan as well.

He's more of a 20-22 pick guy.

Tankathon has him at 24 and nbadraft.net has him at 7.....

****, yeah - I’m very early in my fan scouting process :D According to a couple of reports he sounds like an Ainge player..

Hard to tell how much he’ll be able to keep improving - he’s not as undersized as Gomes, who was a second-round pick - his upside seems like a TJ Warren type, a 3.5 who can get baskets..

Good breakdown on Keldon’s defensive issues and upside here: https://fansided.com/2018/12/11/keldon-johnson-defensive-ceiling/

Don’t know what we’re doing with picks or what’s planned for a Davis trade.. but..

The SAC pick seems like it will be Oobie-Doobie - Doumbouya - or a BPA slider, unless there’s a wing we rate really highly - then either the BPA 2 w/ the next pick or, if we took one at 14, a big - and a big w/ the last pick, too..

But I get major slider vibes with the top of this draft - there’s going to be a Pierce, Winslow, Granger or Rob Williams where you’re at 14 or 21 and shocked someone is available..

There has to be some concern with Phoenix on whether he'll have conditioning issues in his NBA career. I believe he'll enter the league as the 2nd heaviest active NBA player.

If the Suns for real take Morant with #1 and the Knicks don't get #1 and still get Zion that's actually a pretty poor position for us in retaining Kyrie. They'd still have #1 to trade for Davis. And then Durant, etc... So I hope the Suns change their minds or are bluffing.

If I had to pick one realistic guy that I’d like the Celtics to come away with in this draft I think its Bol or Garland. Probably Bol. I think he’s viable as a stretch big next to AD or Williams and would give the Celtics scary length in the frontcourt with either guy. He’s gonna be a big time project but one I think is worth the risk

To me, if Bol gets switched on to small, quick guys, he'll get destroyed. Looks like he doesn't move his feet anywhere near quickly enough to be effective on switches, plus he's really scrawny. Imagine him trying to check Embiid, not that anyone can, but to even come close, it takes a physical beast like Baynes to do it. I definitely like Garland, though. Kinda thinking he'll be gone by 14. If Memphis pick conveys he'll probably be there.

I'd take Williamson or Barrett over Morant anyday of the week even if I'm the Suns LOL at these jokers calling for Morant. Looked very pedestrian against FSU outside of 3 point shooting. Very thin player too...going to get pushed around more than trae young.

Outside shooting is one of the things that should translate though. So should athleticism. As for being thin. He's a good 6'3. He can get bigger and stronger. He's what? 19?? It's not like Phoenix is going anywhere anytime soon.
