Andrew Wiggins?
Hey guys,
I wanted to see what the rest of the forums opinion was if this off season we traded for Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins has a bad rep (rightfully so) of being a player that doesn't "try" and justs gets by on using his athleticism and talent. He's also on a massive contract for the next 4 years. He's only 24 and is a career 19 point scorer which is something that this team desperately needs. I think he would fit in extremely well with our young core and has the potential to be an excellent defender if surrounded by a coach and teammates that play hard every game. If we traded for him in the off season a combination of Dion & James Johnson or Goran & James Johnson to Minnesota for him without giving up any picks I think it could work out us going forward.
Let me know what you guys think?

Re: Andrew Wiggins?
They’d have to take JJ and Waiters (they wouldnt) and even then Wiggins albatross contract would cut into our future flexibility. He’d have to be a 25 ppg guy to live up to that contract and I have no reason to believe he could do that.

Oh he could EASILY be a 25 ppg scorer. He'd just have to take 30-40 shots a game to get there though

Re: Andrew Wiggins?
i am sure with the right environnment he could become a good player but not at that price.
I saw games of him this season, they are not playing for him, it's KAT first and later when there is few seconds in the clock for Wiggins

I thought about this but his contract is too long and people don't seem to like him.

Re: Andrew Wiggins?
Lol we have a guy named j rich that gets the same amount of points and plays 3 times better defense on a 4/42 contract. Not worth it

Re: Andrew Wiggins?
If he comes with the 10th then I’m fine with trading for him. It pushes out FA shopping back to 2021, but gives us 2 picks this year and incentive to tank next year.

Re: Andrew Wiggins?
Wiggins's contract would need serious incentive, at least two FRP, this season's and lottery-protected 2021. I doubt if the Wolves, who really have a piss-poor chance of building a serious team again in the next few years would accept such a deal. James Johnson and Dion Waiters have great value juxtaposed with Wiggins.

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

Re: Andrew Wiggins?
Wiggins hasn't shown anything over the past couple years to warrant taking this gamble. That contract is too scary to be worth rolling the dice on. It's a no from me.

he’s only two degrees removed from being an aussie mod wilts. plus he’s a former #1 pick in draft like ben simmons.
canadian -> brit -> aussie
