Starting Lineup Change
Ivica Zubac can't play in this series. The fact he got his points in garbage time tells us he's not ready. Doc's gonna get his wish: a small ball starting lineup in Game 4.

None of the starters scored in double digits the team is just outclassed. I would like to see Zubac with the second unit this series and just start Lou, Green and Harrell. Not going to stand a chance doing the norm

Pivotal Game 3
I missed the game but caught the early and late portions of it on the radio. Unfortunately, I can't say that I'm surprised that Golden State and Kevin Durant, specifically, came out like gangbusters. I was hoping with homecourt advantage that the Clips would be able to keep the Warriors out of it spiritually, but once our adversary was locked in, we were going to be outclassed. I was hoping we could at least keep it competitive for most of the contest, but it sounded like garbage time went into effect early.

I'm going to game 4, I hope it's a competitive game. Ticket prices seem pretty expensive.

Don’t get your hopes up, this should be another 25 point blowout by halftime

At least we avoided the sweep. The GSW v Rockets series should be fun to watch.

After last game (24-4-6) I expected Gallo to have a really good game but I could tell in the first 3-5 minutes something was up. He did not look physically comfortable. I do not know if he was sick, sore, or whatever but that was not the Gallo we know. I saw him do some things that were very unlike him. Every shooter has bad games but this was something different watching his body language. Even on some of his made free throws he did not look 100%.
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point.

That’s Doc upset Zubac went on a scoring run. Let Zubac and Gallo run with the second unit. You can’t have useless guys like Chandler and Temple in the rotation then tap out on the core guys

Same way game one. Doc shouldn’t be using him as the free safety on defense he’s not quick enough

Gallo's not the statue Zubac is, but you can't hide them both against the GSW "Death Lineup." As bad as our shooting was, we lost because we gave up 73 points in the first half.

Inside the paint Gallo is much slower to react and it’s not close. On the perimeter he can use his length to recover but quick reactions inside to cause deflections or help defense on the attack it’s not even debatable Zu is better. Not big enough to redirect drives like Zu and not quick enough to meet the defender to contest when the shot goes up at the rim

All true but Gallo can win you a game with his scoring, so it's worth the trouble of hiding him. Zubac, even if adequate on D--and he's not against the Death Lineup--just doesn't being enough scoring to let you compete with a team that runs on all cylinders like GSW.
The bigger problem is having them both on the floor together. We had better success with JaMychal out there for Zubac, because you just can't bench Gallo and expect Zubac to pick up the scoring slack. Gallo's struggling but Zubac is not the answer either.
And the fact remains, our "death lineup" is Gallo-Lou-Trezz-Pat-Shai [or sometimes Shamet], and although it won us a lot of games, it just can't compete with the champs'. Doc put that lineup out pretty early in Game 3 and we were simply outclassed.

Re: R1G3: Golden State Warriors @ Los Angeles Clippers - Thursday 4/18/19 on TNT @ 7:30 PM (PT)
Gallo had a tough game 1 and game 3. I'm not going to pretend that he didn't. He had a pretty good game 2. Whether he is having problems with their defense, a loss of confidence, or something else I can not say for sure. I'm frustrated not because of his missed shots (that happens to everyone) but something I saw last game that I'm choosing not to mention. Now with that said its not only Gallo having a tough time. Trezz, Lou, and Green have played well but who else on the team has looked good? SGA? No. Shammy? No. Zubac? No. Chandler? No. Bev? Not really. Temple? No. Even Lou has looked badly defensively but that is kind of expected.
Playing 4 all stars with 2 top 15 all time players is not supposed to be easy. This GS team does not lose first round games. This is where Doc has to earn his salary. If I was coach I would remind the guys it does not matter if you lose by 3 points or 30 points. Its still just 1 loss. That this is still just a 2-1 series and that they are home in front of their home fans. GS has incredible offensive and defensive sets. Its not just their great players. I would make 1 key adjustment. I would take Bev off Durant. I would put Bev on Klay. Klay does not drive much. Let Bev stand inside his shirt to stop those outside 3's. I do not think Bev can guard Durant (size) or Curry (picks) too well before they overcome him. What has happened too often is GS ends up shooting in the bonus very early in quarters on unneeded non-shooting fouls.
