Fcuk Lebron James and his cabal man...…. as great a player as he is...… horrible, toxic personality and pity us that Jeannie is letting it happen. Unreal.

For people that have this view of Lue just being a Lebron stooge, take the time to listen to Brian Windhorst on the Sedano show a couple of days ago.

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-sedano-show-hr-2/id419437290?i=1000435195111

Start around the 14:00 minute park for the Lue stuff, but try to listen before that where he shoots down all this unfounded “Lebron the GM” stuff

“The concept that having Ty Lue would give Lebron too much power shows a very surface level concept of how LeBron James operates”

Of course Windhorst will defend Lebron, he's another Lebron stooge.

The rumors about them having a President of Basketball Operations ready to go sounds unlikely to me.

This organization looks completely insane because of one reason: Jeanie Buss. Keeping Rob Pelinka is insane when the Lakers could have their pick of the litter. Makes zero sense.

Please, for the love of god shamgod, tell me what the hell pelinka did to earn the ire of so many? Do any of you remember what this organization looked like 3 years ago?

We have Lebron! We have a max contract slot in the best FA class ever! We have a good young core!

If you’re just butt hurt over missing the playoffs or about trading russell... two words: move on.

If you don’t like him because you honestly believe all the bs reporting about how he’s tough to deal with or doesn’t work hard or magic didn’t like him... then you clearly have no idea how news and sources and manipulation works in this country.

Stop complaining and start hoping we sign Kawhi and have a healthy season.

Let me answer that with a question to you. What did Pelinka do to deserve the job other than be Kobe's agent?

Let's all collectively get off the Kobe nut sack and examine the league for the best possible candidates. This is such a pivotal off-season for this team. After this year, young guys need to start getting paid and have big cap holds, our free agency money goes away, LeBron gets one year older, etc. We need the best possible person to walk into free agency meetings this summer with Kawhi, Kemba, Kyrie, Klay, KD and give us a shot. I personally think Kawhi is there for the taking. If LeBron steps up with his recruiting and we have stability in the organization and a great medical staff, he'll be a Laker.

What I don't need is Rob Pelinka meandering into a free agency meeting talking about "Laker Excellence" and quoting the bible or Shakespeare. Anyone ever see the video of Rob Pelinka taking the contract over to LeBron and signing it with him?

Any other time period, Rob Pelinka could have walked into the President of Basketball Operations position and I would have been fine with it. I would have been in wait and see mode. But when we have the resources and selling points (cap space, young assets, LeBron) that we do, also knowing how important this time is, you don't need to settle with a novice. Get the best guy.

Did Bob Myer deserve to be the warriors GM and then President? He was an agent too.

You want an agent doing this work because its all about recruiting players.

Pelinka was also james harden’s agent and many others, so this isnt just about kobe.

Yes, i agree with you in the sense of building the lakers braintrust. Jerry west would be a great addition to the team. But don’t underestimate his son Ryan as well as asst GM jesse buss, who have proven themselves time and time again as talent that has transcended nepotism and is highly respected.

Finally, rob pelinka in front of the camera and in the recruiting room are two different people. He uses that forum to complement his players. I find it mostly funny.

I don't think there's anything about an agent per se that qualifies or disqualifies him.

What Bob Meyers didn't do, however, was caught violating tampering rules, lying to players, and making terrible roster moves, including a severely impaired ability to evaluate talent, e.g., calling KCP "manna from heaven" and comparing Mike Muscala and Reggie Bullock to the MVP of the Super Bowl.

The problem about Rob Pelinka, regardless of who he was as an agent, is that he has a reputation for being incompetent and untrustworthy as a general manager. That's the fundamental problem, because is directly undermines his suitability for the job.

Amongst other things Bob Myers also worked as an assistant GM for an year at Golden State before being promoted for the GM job and then the president of basketball ops role.

I can't imagine pelinka entertaining the idea of giving up an agency that includes James harden as a client to be an assistant GM anywhere.

There has to be some connection with Monty Williams and Kawhi Leonard from his time on the coaching staff of the spurs.

Everyone knows he is the #1 target for the Lakers. The guy Jeannie will not let get away. Especially to the clippers.

Hate reporting like this. She didn't say likely to meet other candidates. She said the Lakers "may" meet other candidates; this also means "may not" meet other candidates... such a meaningless statement on her part.

Juwan was at the Atlanta Airport early this morning. I spoke to him in the TSA line briefly and he's heading to LA for his interview Tuesday.

We're the Lakers ... and we're thinking of hiring Juwan Howard? Has he ever been a head coach anywhere?

To be fair...
The last few years juwan Howard played, he spent more time in a suit than in a uniform. So I would say he has some coaching training at least

It's so hard to listen to news. Everything is viewed through the prism of LeBron. How X player fits with LeBron? Does X player want to play with LeBron? Can X coach handle managing LeBron? Do we talk about if these guys are any good? The team has truly become the LABrons and on a personal level, it's disconnecting me as a fan.
