Bucks go up 2-0 and take 1 in boston and finish it at home 4-1... going to be some great defensive games

Re: Round 2 Lead Up - Celtics on Deck
The last time we played the Celtics was with only 1 healthy point guard Eric as Delledova & Brogdon were hurt & we even had to sign Brandon Jennings to fill in.

A huge factor in this series will be Horford's three point shooting. If he shoots well and pulls out Brook, they are tough. If he doesn't, I don't think they can beat us more than twice.

Jesus
Horford is a 13 and 7 guy who shoots 3 threes a game at league average efficiency. Good player but you guys are making it sound like he's an MJ/Olajuwon hybrid out there.
We were fine with Embiid shooting 9 threes for 34 points and 13 rebounds less than a month ago in Philly, I'm sure we'll survive Horford.

Embiid is a poser. I'm 20x more afraid of Horford.Pachinko_ wrote:Jesus

His defense is elite.

Yeah sure it us, and Embiid's defense is also elite + you're constantly scared he might land on somebody and break his legs or kill him with an elbow.
We've dealt with better than Horford, we'll be fine.

Make Horford chase Giannis for 40 minutes a game, see what he's got left after that. We can play small and still monster them inside and on the boards. Bucks in 5.

Horford is getting on. Still effective but Giannis challenging him over and over again will take it's toll.

Re: Round 2 Lead Up - Celtics on Deck
Embiid shot 30% from 3 this year. Horford 36% and 42% last season. Embiid flops and throws elbows, Horford boxes out and sets legitimately hard (moving) screens. He's a savvy high IQ NBA vet who played for Bud on one of the best teams in the league. He can play Lopez right off the court and Giannis struggles getting by him. Last time he played we lost.Pachinko_ wrote:Aaron It Out wrote:Embiid is a poser. I'm 20x more afraid of Horford.Pachinko_ wrote:Jesus

Re: Round 2 Lead Up - Celtics on Deck
bucks in 5 or 6. we may lose one but the team will respond with a 20 pt blowout the next one. that's how this series will go.
basically when we get a little mad and a little serious we will **** their **** up every time no different than every other team all season long.
it cant be underestimated how for 6 months when this team got even slightly dialed in they blew out every opponent they had. have no fear guys. we win this going away if we just stick to our prinicples

I mean you don't have to answer me, ask around how many people would at this point pick Horford instead of Embiid for their team, or find a quote from a coach or a GM who would say that. Never mind that's he's 20x scarier as a player.

I keep thinking that DJ could be very effective next to Giannis vs the Celtics. He needs to play elite D and be Rodman on the boards. It probably won't happen due to a lack of experience, but good in theory.AussieBuck wrote:Make Horford chase Giannis for 40 minutes a game, see what he's got left after that. 4 legit bigs we can play with Giannis. Last playoffs we had Thon and Jabari lol.
What a time.

we have a lot of weapons we can throw and see what it works. Thats the thing, besides having arguably the best player in the league, and one of the best coaches, the depth is were we can make a difference. Any given day Middleton, Brogdon, bledsoe, Brook, Mirotic, can take over a game in terms of scoring (of course the probability is smaller than of giannis but you get the point) and Pat, Hill, Sterling, Ersan, DJ, heck even Snell can always give something else without massive flaws in their games. Either its Defense, 3pt, BBIQ, etc etc. Of our rotation every player seem to have the ability to contribute with something to win the game, or to help us pass some kind of hurdle.

I can already see the thought process in the heads of their fans. "Jesus they have Mirotic as their 4th guy off the bench?"
