That is absolutely true across the league. Guys like Bev and Barea just flat out shove against bigs inside the arc who aren't even leaning on them. I wish the refs would just foul them out when they do that because it clutters up the game into a mugfest. In Bevs case it's especially bad because he is actually a good defender when he's not fouling, so I wish he would just play the game more cleanly.

That factor we lost with the Tobias trade is making the other team account for multiple guys in the starting lineup. While SGA and Shammy have had some very promising moments this season the starting lineup was a little to easy to pick a guy and say lets not let him get going. Kerr and their coaching staff deserve credit. They really gang defend. Its not like beat one guy. They really do help each other out. The Warriors have great players but their offensive and defensive sets are also impressive.

Watch what they do with Gallo, which is basically to crowd him. Get your feet up close to his feet. He's not quick enough to go around you, and by crowding him, you cut down his height advantage in shooting over you.

I agree and disagree. They do crowd him. You are right about that but he has gone around guys all season that get up on him. The difference here is the Warriors often pick him up with 1-2 more guys on his way inside. He also has been on the wrong end of calls too many times. Durant got away with contact on Gallo when Gallo drove to the hoop. Draymond clearly hit Gallos hand on Gallo's dunk.

I'm not saying Gallo is playing well. He has had a tough series. That may be due to undisclosed injury, the Warriors defense or Gallo is just not playing well. Another factor that is not helping is the refs are swallowing their whistles not only on Gallo but on other contact fouls on the Clippers. Curry literally climbed up Bevs back. No call.
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D

Broderick Turner, Los Angeles Times (4/23/19)
“He was ready,” coach Doc Rivers said. “I think we had a great practice the day before, where we put him in a lot of situations and he was in the right place at the right time, too, let's just be honest there.

“But you still have to do something if you're in the right place at the right time, and there's a lot of people in the right place at the right time that don't do anything. And Jerome did something and that was good for us.”

As he prepared for practice Tuesday, Robinson got some advice from Hall of Famer Jerry West, a Clippers consultant.

“It’s dope to have ‘The Logo’ just come and mess with you and joke around and even just dropping gems any time of the day,” Robinson said. “It’s huge. He’s a great guy, a guy you can just talk to.”

Bogut has been able to fill in somewhat respectably, but he's no Cousins.

Klay was pissed after the game and talked about how he wanted to win by 30 next game like they're capable of doing. Which actually pleased me very much to hear- you don't get over these humps by deciding you're going to beat the team by 30 next, you get over the hump by realizing you're in a fight and have been underestimating your opponent- that's when you really start doing all the little things right.

Game 6 is gonna be tough, but we got a good shot at sending it to 7...

Yeah, they're disrespecting them. It's another way of saying,"I'm sorry Clippers, but you're supposed to lose this series. That's the nature of the 8th seed. And besides, it's in your blood to be copacetic with losing anyway."
