Really sad to see Russ getting trashed like this, but he needs to make changes. That game was mostly on him and a little bit of Billy too. We need a coach who will bench him when he does stupid **** until it's the exception and not the rule. Why we didn't let Schroder touch the ball in the last 4 minutes is mind-blowing. This one's going to hurt for a while.

If they Presti the new GM will fire Donovan. Sam Hinkie, you're our only hope!

Everyone who was at game 3 is still glad. Houston, Denver or GS would have swept them.

Sucks to say this, but Durant might not have been able to win with these cats.

Kanter is a terrible defender. OKC is too stupid to exploit a terrible defender. Both statements can be true. Portland hid Kanter while Donovan brought him front and center. That is the difference. How many times in the series did Portland have Kanter switch onto Russ or PG? When he was playing for Donovan he was constantly switching onto guys like Harden, Curry, etc. Adams still is switched onto those players who then light him up.

Portland had Kanter stay back on the P&R so that if Adams rolled was rolling right into a set Kanter. The guards fought through the screen with Kanter ready between the pick and the rim so Russ had no driving lane without trying to run through a set Kanter. Russ then takes a long jumper. Portland's coaching and OKC's stupidity allowed Kanter's bad defense to become irrelevant because OKC couldn't find a way to attack him once the P&R exploit was removed. When Portland did something with Kanter that was beyond the thinking ability of Russ, PG and Donovan they didn't know what to do other then their default of long range jumpers.

I think kd identified how bad Donovan was as a coach and knew he'd never win with Presti and Donovan running OKC. kd couldn't win with THOSE cats. The talent wasn't the issue, but saw the lack of talent being brought in and the attrition rate in addition to the terrible coaching. I'll never accept that kd isn't a weak child for going to GS, but leaving OKC isn't why I have an issue with him. If he had going to Boston, Philly or another team that was coming up no one outside of OKC would have a massive reaction. It was going off to win rings as the replacement for Harrison Barnes. If he just wants to be Harrison Barnes then fine, but he could have been so much more.

Don't compare ferg to cj. One is the second option the other three 5th. Compare ferg to whoever the fifth scorer is on Por

Ferguson was outscored in this game 17-3 by McCollum and 122-23 for the series. You can talk about the other issues OKC has but at the end of the day Ferguson put the Thunder in such a large hole every game with this colossal mismatch that they simply couldn't overcome it. Not one other team in the NBA or in NBA history seems to think that Presti's idea holds much merit as no other teams seem to have much trouble finding starting shooting guards that can shoot and score. I'm sure we'll watch Ferguson start again next year though and another first round exit.
