Does Presti become the favorite now for the LA job?

I don't want Presti... pretty clear he can't manage the cap. Yikes the thunder are like 20 million over the cap with only exceptions and luxury tax going fwd on a hopeless team without shooting. That's like us last year only we still have our cap room.

I definitely hear you, Presti wouldn't be my first choice either. But when it is getting closer and closer to Rambis/Pelinka, any other name seems like, ironically, manna from heaven.

Start around the 6:30 mark, Bucher told Cowherd the following:

My understanding is that there were some emails that were exchanged between Rob and Jeanie…about Magic and about what Magic was and wasn’t doing. They were critical emails. And somehow, someway, Jeanie, from what I understand, was CC’ing or blind CC’ing Magic on everything. That was sort of protocol. Standard issue.

Somehow, the exchange between Rob and Jeanie ended up on that string of the blind CC’s that were going to Magic. So, Magic now is seeing emails from Rob to Jeanie that were critical of what he was doing and maybe most important in all this is that there was no indication that Jeanie was backing Rob up in terms of either going to Magic and letting him know this was going on or going back at Rob and defending Magic. That was not happening and so when he talked about the backstabbing, to me, my understtanding that’s what started it. The fact that Jeanie waved goodbye and said ‘Thank you for all that you did’ was that she didn’t necessarily disagree with what Rob was saying.”

^^well after "Ballz-gate" I do think we can all believe Jeanie doesn't know how to use email.

LMAO this whole time I was picturing Linda McMahon whenever Linda Rambis came up, didn’t realize that’s what she really looked like.

I think it's pretty clear at this point, the only way this gets turned around is when Jeanie sells the team. She might not want to, but Clippers is slowly but surely gaining ground on them in everything. Another five years of disfunction and losing, and it is only a matter of time before all the sponsors and TV contracts start to voice their displeasure by pulling out the dollars. There is simply no way to fix this team with an ownership this inept.

When will see similar signs to those seen at MSG? Signs such as, "Dolan sell the team." Or random fans yelling at Jeanie to sell the team. This organization is truly on the Knicks level smh

I've been frustrated for a while now, but I always also thought there was light at the end of the tunnel... Like they were just being stupid but would eventually get it and bail themselves out...
And I have no real faith in Bucher as a source... And yet... I find myself completely believing everything he's saying and if I believe that, this franchise is in a whole lot worse shape than I imagined...
The magic thing... Ok sure... But it seems clear that hiring Magic at least helped push LeBron in the right direction here...
So it's easy to see if you believe Jeannie and Rob playing politics like this, could push LeBron the other way... He may really be fed up with the FO right now... If that's true, forget about him recruiting and we've seen that when he doesn't recruit, everyone understands he's gone and no one signs...
Then if all that's the case, what about Bucher's take on the value of our core?... I like our guys, but I can't really argue that Bucher is wrong about them not really being worth a whole lot... Ingram with the blood thing, Ball an injury waiting to happen, and Kuzma who's main value was that he was a skyrocketing young talent... But seems to have plateaued a bit...
So should we really let go of the idea that we can land KD, Kawhi, AD or even Klay? Are we really looking at Butler/Cousins as maybe the best we can get?

Jury's still out for me I guess, but I will say that if we don't hire an elite Pres and we don't give him the power to clean house and hire his guys... It's going to really be hard to have a whole lot of confidence in this team... If we don't hire a Pres, I'm betting all those things are true, and we're going to watch LeBron demand a trade, which will reduce his value to nothing, and we'll be in full rebuild mode again for the next 5 years easy...

So.... why are we interviewing coaches and supposedly still looking for a president? Logic would dictate that you get the new President and have that person part of the coaching search. This set's up an immediate bail out for the new President of the coach fails.... "he wasn't my guy".

They're not hiring a new president. It's really that simple.

I hope every time Jeanie watches "Balls" (Steve Ballmer), she gets a good look at what he's done to the Clippers and wonder how those same strategies would help the Lakers.

Watching this Clipper team and comparing it to the Lakers is depressing. Top to bottom.

LMAO at the Presti rumors.
For how long that OKC could not have a freaking shooter to compliment for WB?
Everyone jumped on Magic for like one year filling the roster with renting players so good luck with Sam Presti.
I understand that the grass always greener outside but be careful of what you are wishing for.

It took a while for SB realized that Doc is not the right man for the GM job and did something.
Look like it worked out well but basically you can not expect to get the right results every times man.
