What do you guys think about:
Utah out: Favors, Ingles, Allen, and 2 1sts
Utah in; PG13
OKC out: Adams, Grant, and PG13
OKC in: Favors, Dray, and Ingles
GSW out: Dray and filler
GSW in: Adams, Allen, Grant, and 2 1sts
Utah out: Favors, Ingles, Allen, and 2 1sts
Utah in; PG13
OKC out: Adams, Grant, and PG13
OKC in: Favors, Dray, and Ingles
GSW out: Dray and filler
GSW in: Adams, Allen, Grant, and 2 1sts
Ingles is cooked.

No chance. Every team would beat out our offer for PG13. Gobert and Mitchell are the only ones who get a conversation going and that's a non starter for Utah.GobertReport wrote:What do you guys think about:

Another scorer. There is no other way.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

Re: Future Free Agent Thread
Seriously, if they can't score, I'm not interested and neither should the Jazz be.
Royce has really improved, I wonder what his trade value would be as a complimentary piece?

Re: Future Free Agent Thread
Basically we need a player 1-4 that can score, doesn’t matter the position 1-4 just as long as he can score.
Ingles is cooked.

Re: Future Free Agent Thread
We need a shot creater and a scorer, and a back up PG that can stay healthy. I'd try to get Bogdanovic as a scorer and Beverley as our backup PG. Reddick could be a good shooter for us, Brogdon would be good.
Move Ingles to the bench.
I'm really interested to see what DL does.

And it’s probably a good thing if we get walker to take the ball out of Mitchell’s hands

Sign Walker, sign and trade Bev for Exum, and try to get a shooting 4, thinking Hezonja?
Ingles is cooked.

Re: Future Free Agent Thread
Why would we s&t for bev? Just sign him outright and Hezonja couldn't make noise on the knicks. Much rather a Thad Young type. We have our young shooting 4 in Niang. We need a vet to fill the favors spot. Having Exum and Bev would be great to have for defensive purposes. Don't want to give the clippers Exum to pair with SGA and their likely max FA.GobertReport wrote:Sign Walker, sign and trade Bev for Exum, and try to get a shooting 4, thinking Hezonja?

Re: Future Free Agent Thread
I'd have to think that our best option is offering either Kemba or Butler a 4 year max that no one else does. Mitchell's rookie contract helps subsidize the front end.

Kemba will have multiple max offers IMO... I'm not sure about Butler.

That 3rd stringer hit more 3s than yo boy Mario and he did it playing 690 less minutes..GobertReport wrote:CAE15 wrote:Why would we s&t for bev? Re: Future Free Agent Thread
Just saw Beverly mentioned above, and I agree that he is very intriguing.
I see these as the most likely PG targets
Brogdan
Beverly
Conley
Kemba
Satoransky
Rubio
Am I missing anyone?
Here is how they stacked up this past season http://bkref.com/tiny/esQ6u
Question is how much they will cost and if they are obtainable.

Nothing shocking, but yeah, he would be great for the Jazz (at the right price).

I could handle Rubio and Beverly splitting the PG mins at the right place and if we could offload exum

Re: Future Free Agent Thread
After listening to DL yesterday, I got the impression Favors is a pretty good shot at returning to the Jazz. I think Rubio is gone unless he takes lower money to stay which I don't think will happen as he will get plenty of decent offers.
I think Niang's option will be picked up as he proved he is worth the 1.6 million.
Korver might retire which frees up his 7.5 million, and I am not sure how Dante is viewed by the FO. Anyone hear anything about him during the exit interviews? I missed half of them.
So who we have back, plus who I project
Center: Gobert, Favors, Bradley
Power Forward: Crowder, Niang
Shooting Forward: Ingles
Shooting Guard: Spida, O'neal, Allen
Point Guard: Exum, Neto
Glaring holes in the PF, SF, PG positions. If they do pick up Favors and use him as the PF/backup C position, I hope it is more in the backup center position. Would be good to get someone like Tobias Harris start at 4 with Crowder as backup and allow Favors to be the backup Center. Crowder could play some SF position but really needs to work on his outside shot this offseason.
Which position is the greatest need? If we can get one 2nd tier signing is Harris the right guy? Or do you not worry about the positioning and just get best player you can and work around that?
