Taking post All Star break numbers isn’t cherry picking stats. It’s the most recent and relevant large sample size.

Giannis was awful at shooting the first two months of the season. No argument there. Feel free to look back much further than the AS break. He has been a completely different shooter since January 1st.

He was awful in Nov Dec. Extremely awful.

A large enough sample to have significance with respect to 3pt shooting is ~900 attempts. 65 is laughably small.

Said another way, the only reason your deeming these 65 attempts as more significant than the entire sample is because it paints the picture you want. Thats cherry picking statistics.

Ok.
So Tatum definitely isn't a shooter. Only has 553 career attempts. His percentage means nothing.
Jaylen Brown is shy of 900 attempts so he can't shoot either until he gives me an adequate sample size.
Brook Lopez is a pathetic shooter. Look at his career numbers. Gross. This entire season is just a fluke.

I didn't take some random sample. I took the easiest accessible recent sample. Post All-Star break.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter if Giannis shoots 0% or 40% from 3 in the series. It is the difference of 1 to 2 possessions per game.

But if you don't think Giannis has skill, then you don't understand anything about basketball.

Enjoy the series.

Yikes— are you intentionally being dense?

The larger the sample, the more indicative the % represents the players actual skill. I cant declare definitively that Tatum is a 40% three point shooter because its sample is still too small. I can pretty reasonably claim Brown is a 36% three point shooter because of his larger sample.

You cherry picked a 65 shot stretch because it proved a point. I countered that its not indicative of whom he is as a shooter and his career percentages are a better indicator. You, in turn, spewed more nonsense.

Good luck this series. Id recommend you just watch and have fun— let the people who actually understand statistics/analytics debate the relative skills of players.

Hell, a lot of Celtics can't shoot either, but I don't see us going full out H.A.M. to prove our points.
You wont find many Buck fans that will say he shoots well. The comment about 2nd half of the season is stating his improvement throughout the year.

It's also annoying and hilarious that in one sentence people will say Giannis is not skilled or overly skilled because of his shooting . They talk about what he is not...But they wont admit for his size and what he does on the court is skilled in his own ways. It's really simple to see how great he really is and is ridiculous seeing peoples comments. He is the MVP this year.

When Buck fans see this comments on a sports message board constantly how do you expect people not to call them out? It's quite baffling.

Wow "he cant shoot" tell me more...

Gordon is most definitely the X factor who will determine how deep we go in the 2019 POs.

Some information for you to share with your buddies on your next girl’s night out:

1. Diurnal variation of T - higher in the AM - especially in younger adult men.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2681273/

2. On average, levels of T in younger adult women (produced by the ovaries & the zona reticularis of the adrenal glands) are very roughly 1/20 to 1/10 the levels in younger adult men, but almost entirely determine a woman’s libido (as well as her sex hair). A man’s libido is predominantly determined by T (Free T as opposed to Total T is what matters*), BUT the small amount of estradiol (E2) produced by the testes most definitely influences libido, erectile function & spermatogenesis.

(*It is hilarious & scandalous to see these TV advertisements hawking these absolutely & totally
bogus oral concoctions of garbage to treat the equally bogus & non-existent “low T” syndrome in middle aged men - where some of these moronic scam artists go out of their way to claim that their product increases Total T more than Free T. This worthless stuff does not increase either Total T or Free T & the vast vast vast majority of the men who buy it & ingest it do not have decreased levels of either Total T or Free T to begin with - but, theoretically, the level that actually matters is the Free T. Not surprisingly, these douchebags are not only scam artists but dumber than rocks. LOL.)

Man I don't usually post on other teams boards but this is just too salty to pass up.
On serious note I really have no idea how this series plays out. Could realistically go anyway both teams are different from the regular season and last year.
One x factor is the coaching matchup. Bud truly unlocked the talent bucks fan have seen for years. But does he turn stubborn and refuse to make adjustments in game. He has been know to stick with his plan rigidly. Stevens has caught some flack this year but anyone who denies his talent is just salty as this guy. Does he unlock this he Celtics true ceiling? They have so much talent but have yet to play consistently at the level they should. They will need to reach that ceiling to win IMO. Looking forward to this series so much. Homerism of course but Bucks in six. Bledsoe redeems himself and shows up big time. Good luck and I hope for a healthy hard fought series.
Bucks fandom bringing me happiness still seems like a dream.

As a Bucks fan, I'm really looking forward to this series. We needed a low key "tough" matchup to give Brogdon and Mirotic a chance to get back into a rhythm with the rest of the team. We'll need that for Toronto. They are very, very good.

Celtics must win one game in milwaukee in order to win this series. Either game 1 or 2. They can't be down 0-2 and expect to win the series. They can't do that.

Usually game one is the feel out game, but that can't be case for the celtics. They have to come out in game one attacking on offense, and defense do everything possible to win the game. If they do that, the pressure now goes to the bucks.

Win game one celtics. You have a chance to win this series despite what people are saying. The media, fans etc.

Sadly, we couldn't care any less as to what you need. Go tell that to the dudes on your board. This is the Boston Celtics forum if you haven't noticed.
Good assessment:
