Any other year I’d love to see Fear-the-Deer crush Bahst’n. I’m hoping C’s send Pudenholzer home in an embarrassing sweep. The less success Yani Matumbo has in Milwaukee, higher the chances he eventually bolts. The less success Pudenholzer has, the more I get to enjoy his “I smell $hit” expression for the way he handled his Atlanta exit. Then Toronto needs to destroy Bahst’n in the ECFs, destroy I-Am-the-Warriors in the Finals, and get Kawhi his ring so his next challenge won’t be ring-chasing. But instead the challenge of lifting the league’s youngest, most exciting, most dynamic rising team like the Hawks onto his shoulders and leading them to the Finals where he’s “The One”. Like Curry in GS, LaBrawna was for Cavs, The Beard is for Rockettes. Juss sayin’...

The irony, I wouldn't be surprised if Boston attempts to trade Horford in the deal to bring in Anthony Davis this summer. If Horford leaves Boston, Milwaukee seems like a likely destination for him.

Giannis Antetokounmpo rejected by Al Horford on dunk attempt

The play that epitomized of this first game between these Eastern Conference foes came midway through the third quarter when Antetokounmpo went up for a dunk and was forcefully rejected by Horford.

Mike Budenholzer Could Benefit From Embracing Steve Kerr’s Strategies

The star-focused small ball that has made the Warriors great in the postseason could help the Bucks recover from a tough start to the second round

Image

Mike Budenholzer could learn from watching Steve Kerr. On Sunday, in Game 1 of his second-round series, Budenholzer stuck with the plan he used in the regular season, and Boston ran Milwaukee out of their gym in a 112-90 blowout. Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward made a killing in the pick-and-roll, taking advantage of the Milwaukee big men’s dropping back in the paint and giving them room to operate when they were coming around screens.

Milwaukee had the best record (60-22) and net rating (plus-8.6) in the NBA this season, but their defense had an Achilles’ heel that was going to be exploited at some point in the playoffs. The key to Milwaukee’s success has been the partnership of Brook Lopez and Giannis Antetokounmpo on both ends of the floor. The problem is what happens when they have to face a team like Boston, which can spread the floor with five 3-point shooters.

The obvious adjustment for the Bucks to make in Game 2 is to move Giannis to center and play pick-and-roll defense more like the Warriors. But implementing that lineup would be a dramatic change for Budenholzer, who prefers to play more conservative coverages in the pick-and-roll.

But Budenholzer has had incredible success playing one style of basketball all season, and he may need more than one bad game before he’s willing to alter his philosophical approach to the game.

Eh, Alice was rested up. As this series progresses, his effectiveness on D will wane. Trick is can the Bucks tread water long enough. If it gets to games 6-7, the diSeees are in trouble.

On another note, is Kawhii Leonard a human? I mean, he's clearly a cyborg right? Clearly.

A lot of people spoke Jimi Buttler's name in the same sentence as Leonard in terms of being a great 2-way player. Nah, that dude's on a totally different page than Jimi. A different book, even. Dude snatched Buttler and Harris' souls in game 1.

I found footage of his block on Harris. Don't click if you're squeamish ... you've been warned ....

Spoiler:

Their birth certificates have been re-written. In the "dad" line it now reads "K. Leonard".

We gotta put a full court press on Leonard this offseason. Just get a meeting. That dude is not of this earth. It's only fitting that he should be ... an ATLien.

Aye, I ain't done yet.

For all the cocky, arrogant, blustering Coach Popo does, he got some 'splainin' to do with that game 7 loss. You're arguably the BOAT coach (best of all time, seriously how did this not become a thing instead of G.O.A.T.?) but you got yer vets out there not realizing they need to foul when down 4 with 28 seconds left in the game?

C'mon, sun. Were they eggspecting to go full LJ with a miraculous 4pt play or sumthin'?

And how great could Jokic be if he decided to stop smokin' loosies and pounding malt liquor as his training regime? No, I don't know if that's what he does but you can't get that killer dad-bod on the keto diet.

He look like he went to Blockbuster in Serbia ('cause, for the purposes of this joke, they still got Blockbuster in Serbia) tryna rent a Tae Bo tape but they had a copy of Super Size Me instead.

Adetokunbo getting stonewalled by Aaron Baynes doesn't fare well for the Bucks.

I’m just looking for the efforts of PJ Tucker, Kenneth Faried and Isaiah Hartenstein in an effort to “close the Warriors airspace” next game...

And by that I mean ...

Let’s just say if I didn’t see Curry it cupcake for the rest of the playoffs I’d be fine...throw in punchface Klay.

League is on warning for crap calls.

You bite that tongue, @spud. Zaza was just following orders. He bares no blame. He would never seek and destroy the opposing team's best player. That'd make winning too easy for Zaza and we all know he don't want nothing easy!!
