I will be content him playing 50+ games, whatever he contributes statistically is the cherry on top.

we didnt give up nothing. we gave up #21 and #33 this year. will it hinder the Magic? probably not, but people need to stop saying that we gave up nothing for him. those could be Herro and Kevin Porter for example.

No. We gave up #33 this year and a pick that could easily turn into (2) second rd. picks next season.

We gave nothing.

Exactly, and in case he doesn't return to the court, besides these picks, we will have payed him more than 22M for no production at all.

I agree. It's going to be all or nothing.

My expectations of Fultz is that he will start slow as he do his best to regain some ground one day at a time. He has essentially lost two years and will likely feel some pressure to make up for his lack of production. What Fultz needs to do is focus on getting himself well both mentally and physically. He needs to prepare himself to work his way back to being able to play basketball period. What will happen from there is all up to Markelle Fultz and the development he produces with the Magic. I wish him the best of luck and God bless.

One was owed 93m over 7 years and the other is still on his rookie scale, not sure how you get that same feeling.

Your point is irrelevant. I'm excited about having gotten Fultz, but if he can't get on the floor then the great hopes we have for him may not come to fruition. Just like three great hopes we have for Grant.

Hardly the worst price paid for little to no return in NBA history. Easily worth the risk given what a healthy Fultz could be.

Philly on the other hand will be kicking themselves for years whether he works out or not.

No one is saying that didn't worth the risk, we are just saying that if it didn't work out, we will have lost some good assets (different than nothing).

As for the 76ers, they did the right move because otherwise they would be screwed in terms of salary as they need to re-sign Butler and Harris, so it's better to trade him for some players with low salary (last 1st, early 2nd).

I wasn’t arguing with you ...

Just make sure that in the fight against the “nothing” campaign you don’t yourself go so far right that you forget we still got a good deal all things considered.

Its impossible to predict due to the mysterious injury, but if he gets back to even just his college level than he takes us from pretenders to contenders.

He’s made the playoffs every season.

Good return, imo.

Im expecting him to return to the guy who went #1 overall and was far and away the best player in that draft

Maybe right away, but i fully expect him to make a full recovery

My hope is that by 2021 hes showing signs of being a d'angelo russell esqe player, which i get is a high bar, but thats what i expect from him

I'll go with clear starter at the 1 by the end of the year with some ups and downs along the way. His future will still be a mystery after next year but the potential will be evident.

If he's completely recovered from his injury, then he is a star and easily our best player.
