Here is my plan for the 2020 prospect draft. Instead of a lottery, I'm proposing we run a consolation tournament to determine the pick order.

Winner of the consolation round - 1st pick
Runner up in the consolation round - 2nd pick
3rd place winner in the consolation round - 3rd pick
4th place winner in the consolation round - 4th pick
Regular season 6th place - 5th pick
Regular season 5th place - 6th pick
Regular season 4th place - 7th pick
Regular season 3rd place - 8th pick
Regular season 2nd place - 9th pick
Regular season 1st place - 10th pick

This will keep the bottom teams competitive till the end and will reward those that persevere till the end. Thoughts?

So the bottom 4 teams play a two week tournament winner gets the "first" pick?

Yeah, we already have that during the fantasy playoffs. It’s just that most teams in the consolation bracket would have switched off by then. This gives everyone incentive to play/compete till the very end

sounds good to me. will prevent tanking and worse teams wont end with low picks while playoff teams get top pick xD

I guess my official mourning period over the retirement of #3 is finally over. Couple of things.

1. We will go with the lotto tournament suggestion listed above to determine draft order for next season. So play hard till the end everyone. Your pick next year depends on it!
2. I'll post an updated prospect list in a few minutes.

Promoting Vlad.

Moving Touki Toussaint to my N/A spot. If I've misunderstood how that spot is meant to be used, let me know and I'll make a different move, but if it's not for a guy bouncing back and forth from the minors then I don't know what it's for. Thanks.

Yes, you are good with moving TT to your n/a spot, since he’s your prospect that you promoted.

All the best with Vlad!

Mike Soroka is on Benny's minor league roster. So dropped him from yours, KBend4 and added YuliG back to yours. Please do a search on the last page of this thread always before picking any prospect eligible player up.

Accept. Yelich is wasting away on my team. Coveted Bichette and got some other nice youth back. Blast away.

Interesting. I would have thought the reigning NL MVP would have garnered more interest than this haul. But, it all depends on Bichette I guess. Also, I could have sworn I traded Severino to someone else. Looks like dude has been passed around!

Edit: I'll process the prospect trade when the Yahoo one goes through.
