With that said, Hakeem Butler was still available.

-------

And there we go. Jachai Polite to the Jets. Another target that goes one pick after the 49ers.

I think I'm about to bet futures on this being the 49ers year to win it all

Jalen Hurd had a 96.2% slot rate in 2018 but he'll have to learn to transition to the outside.

Keep in mind the 49ers met with him just a few days ago, too.

I wouldn't doubt if they move him to a TE role with how big he is. Could be a match up nightmare for LB's and safeties

But I just don't understand it

They're dumber than I think they are if they ask him to play TE.

He almost quit football the last time he had to bulk up and play another position. (Not that he would hate TE as much as he hated RB).

Let me clarify that politely.

He said he really disliked being big and taking the punishment at RB. So much so that he became depressed over doing something he didn't want to be doing. So that was a reason for slimming down and changing positions.

I was close. How many slot guys do we need?

So Taylor, James, and Bourne all gone?

Goodwin, Pettis, Samuel, Hurd, Matthews?

I guess we will probably keep 6, hope they keep James

Read on Twitter

I've said that the only TWO quarterbacks in this draft if I were coaching and had to attach my name to their development, the only two guys in this draft that I'd want to work with on a day-to-day basis is Finley and Tyree Jackson.

No promises. No guarantees. I'm not saying anything big. I'm just saying from a coaching perspective and trying to make any one of these guys better, they would be the two I'd choose to work with.
