Our defense is bad enough with Dray, imagine it without him. We would basically be Run TMC. Lets pickup Alton Lister, solid gold.

that's a good point. Kerr cannot get most of the guys to play defense and we are only picking up bad defenders which is not helping. Why is Kerr only going after Green but not the other "stars"?

Step. 2 If KD says no, offer a sign and trade to the Celtics so he can play with Irving and be in the east. Start with KD for Hayward and Tatum. Settle for Hayward and brown.
Boston’s incentive Is that they get KD and it’ll tempt Irving to think about staying if the option of KD to Boston is possible. He can try to convince KD. They wouldn’t mind parting with Hayward anyways.

I’d rather have Hayward + brown than mle. I think Hayward is the perfect fit if he fully gets back to his former self, or even 80 percent. Can shoot, unselfish, big, can get to the rim. He’s showing more and more signs. + Brown Would be great with an aging iggy and a retired Livingston.

I am still not convinced that sports writers and fans know what KD is thinking.

Telling anybody that we will trade Dray is not a good idea if KD leaves anyway. Loosing KD is bad enough withour also ruining the relationship with Dray.

I like the KD for Hayward and Brown sign and trade. It makes sense assuming that KD really wants to play with Kyrie. Maybe Kyrie and KD would prefer creating something on the Knicks but I hope not.

KD for Hayward and Brown. I would even throw in Evans.

Well if you believe the Wiretap article above, it's already decided and his former and current teammates know.

Odd thing is, if Celtics have a great playoff run with Kyrie, does he still leave the Celtics for the Knicks?

Would either of them go to the Knicks alone or only if they both leave their teams to go to NY?

Throw in Evans to do what, jettison the trade?

right now there's no debate about that.
let's hope he continues to ball like that in the next round 'cuz dubs are gonna need this KD to get past the rockets.

Because Green unlike other stars, is a massive ****.

First, to all the people who say that we do not need KD b/c we won without him. You guys don't know jack about basketball. Worst, some of them would think that we would get another All-Star to replace KD if KD leaves. You don't know jack about salary cap and rules. Also, someone called into "The Game 95.7" and said that KD would love to stay one more year to get a ring for ...... the Chase Center....lol...that was joke of a game for me.

IMO, the only way that KD would think twice to stay with us is the Dubs go all the way this is year, then settle for 4 in the row which is one of the lifetime thing.

What do you think Boston will give NOLA for AD? I believe it must includes Tatum, right?

For AD I'd expect BOS to do a Tatum package and DEN to propose one around Murray (maybe). LAL will throw out the dog **** package of all their above average, fatally flawed young guys.

I'd say it's 30/70 that KD leaves. I can't imagine why he'd want to leave, as I'd only imagine him going to NYK. He's seen how little fun LeBallz has had in LA, so **** why would he want to do the same thing on the East Coast? Only counterpoint is that him and Kyrie could potentially slice through the East and do the whole LeBron methodology of 'wow X straight Finals is insane!!!' I also think he might be wildly underestimating the East. Durant/Kyrie on the same team is no better than Milwaukee or Philly.

I think we're kinda screwed if he leaves, as our cap would be tied up and we have Klay/Dray awaiting massive deals with a terrible bench, a departing Boogie and a rapidly improving Western conference.

Boston have a good chance to get AD, but they might loose Kyrie for nothing just like us. What if Boston and GSW work out a deal, we will do a sign n' trade then send KD to Boston. They probably will give us Hortford and Tatum/Brown. This would work out for both teams...I think. If Kyrie and KD go to NY, they are not gonna win anything even with Zion. I think teams like NJ and ALT have no chance for KD. KD will not win anything with these, if that a case then a better choice would be here. Clippers may get Leonard, but not both KD and Leonard :). Dallas also have some cap to sign one max, and no one mentions them to land a max player this summer.... Dallas might be a place for Leonard. Dallas would be really good with Leonard

After the latest game, if the Celtics fizzle out of the second round, with Kyrie not shooting that well, Boston may balk at maxing him out.

Then what?

Sure Kyrie may sign with Knicks and KD can join them as they seem to be planning at the ASB.

Kyrie couldn’t lead a team to the Finals, only get on Lebrons wagon. Now he may be ready to get on board with KD, though not sure them playing like the EC Rockets, with KD and Kyrie taking turns on ISOs, is going to get them into the Finals.

I still don't get why KD should leave the bay. It doesn't make sense from any basketball standpoint.
He's in the situation every player would like to be. Some player would even be willing to kill to be in the situation he's now!
He's in the best team of the league, with a system in which he can thrive and be efficient, with a real chance to rewrite history in the best case scenario or to be a modern version of the 2000s spurs in the worst case scenario (not winning every year but be in a position to win a title in and there over the next 5-6 years. I actually thought dubs would likely be a new edition of the 2000s spurs few years back prior signing KD).
Also, he's in a situation where he doesn't have to bust his a** off during the regular season and sometimes even in the first playoff round, where he doen't have to carry the burden all the time because he has another superstar like steph who can take over from him and drives a lot of pressure out of him. And this last point in particular will start to become key as he begins to age. Not in the next two years, but likely in 3 to 4 years it will, and he would definitily want to be with a team like this warriors where he can "preserve" himself do give it all out in the PS like igoudala.
Seriously, resigning with the warriors should be a no-brainer.

PS: and all leaving aside the financial standpoint. warriors have an advantage over any other team in that they can offer 5 years rather than 4, and larger 8% annual raises compared to the 5% raises other teams can offer.

Him leaving makes zero sense, that’s why it’ll probably happen. KD is weird.

Out with KD in 2019, and in with AD in 2020. That is my prediction.

The last thing LeBron Inc will do is to get Steph help.

They are brain **** AD wasted him 1 season of his prime, as well as reputation and $.

LeBron himself always signs the max. Klutch told AD to forego the supermax to join LeBron. Go figure.

You can say a same to Kyrie. He was lucky that he got traded to Boston, and Cavs got nothing in return :)

KD will need his third back surgery for carrying this team all postseason.
