Benny Snell is very Steelers even though I didn't really like him as much as most.

For me Deionte Thompson and Evan Worthington are still there before I go outside. Worthington has a suspension and character in his background that you have to make a determination on, though.

Riley Ridley to the Bears. Good length. Very good curl and hitch route runner with outstanding ability to stop on a dime and come back to the ball. Very good body control and can go up and get the ball. Shows the ability to separate. One of the more complete package, finished receivers in this class. His workout scared the crap out of people.

Had him as a target before they pretty much maxed out on receivers for a while.

Iman Marshall to the Ravens. Best in press coverages. Tons of struggles early in his career but got better and better. Good production. A lot of people feel he's an eventual safety project.

Memphis RB Tony Pollard to the Cowboys.

In my notes I wrote down that I thought Kyle Shanahan might like him and be a target for the 49ers. (Not for me).

Multi-usage weapon in college with RB, WR and Wildcat experience. Slot versatility with plus YAC. Likely will be asked to play on STs having scored 7 TDs on KRs in 3 years (T-FBS record)(3 100+ yards). School record holder for KR average.

Needs to run lower. Needs better run lane discipline. Route-running needs work. Needs to become a more natural hands catcher.

There goes one of my CB targets - Houston CB Isaiah Johnson to the Raiders.

Former wide receiver with only 22 games as a corner. Long-limbed with very good size. Athletic. Projects well to a Cover-3 (Chargers?) outside corner. Runs very well. Good size. Read-and-react skills are good. Patient and will not bite on double moves. Speed to recover. Uses the out of bounds line as another defender for help. Can find the football and shows ability to go get it.

Too many false steps at and coming off the line of scrimmage.Struggles with his hands/arms in press technique. Not a very good tackler and needs a lot of technique work. (One of the worst tackle attempts you'll see vs. Memphis). Pedal is not consistent. Needs to turn head more often to locate ball in the air.

Looked better at the NFL Combine in field drills than I thought he would.

Daniel Jeremiah thought he would be a 2nd round pick.

Notre Dame LB Drue Tranquill to the Chargers.

Moved from safety to LB. Coverage ability and was one of those new age LB types teams are looking for. I wasn't much of a fan, especially at this point, but I thought he moved much better in his Combine workout than I thought he would.

Special team projection.

Ugo plays bigger than he's listed - good upper body development. I agree he's a nickel projection. Good route anticipation ability and very good burst to the ball. Playing the ball and playing vs. size are big weaknesses of his (not good with me).

Stidham to the Patriots. Oh, boy!

Networks will spend an hour too much talking about that one this week.

Up and down, yeah. Isn't a real confident mover yet.

Washington DT Greg Gaines to the Rams. Not a target but an interesting story.

High school DL and short-yardage RB. Threw shot put and discus in high school.

10th most pass rush snaps from 0-technique (NT) in his class over the last 3 seasons (265). Won the team's Lineman of the Year award in '16 and '17.

Very good run game player. Years ago he may have gone higher.

You can see MInshew as DJ's 3rd best QB remaining.

I've been saying recently I do expect he's higher on the 49ers board than others. DJ recently paired him to the 49ers in a QB match drill he was asked to do for a column. Said Lynch lit up when he talked to him about him. Trent Dilfer has really talked him up recently as well and I know for a fact that Lynch and Dilfer have contact and like to play ideas off of each other, especially QBs. (How does Shanahan factor into that?).

I'm not a Minshew guy at all. Have said I wouldn't draft him and wouldn't sign him as a UDFA.

For me if you draft a guy remaining it would be Tyree Jackson, though I really don't expect him to be a 49ers target either. I won't be heart broken if they don't get him either.

Instincts and production working against him. Didn't develop quickly with great help around him. Has some game that fits today's game, though, so I would expect he's still well thought of at some point today.

Shareef Miller to the Eagles. Strong, strong kid. Lot of pop in his hands. Kinda liked him.

Return to San Francisco 49ers
