I guess the team is looking at all the injuries we've had over the last few years and are pointing the fingers at them.

Woj just said on ESPN that Lakers met with Monty Williams last night for 5 and half hours! Also, made it seem like Ty Lue had the better interview with the Lakers. He states Ty Lue has been trying to get Tom Thibodeau as his lead assistant. It’s going to get interesting soon guys!!

Koko was really that bad? Definitely not an easy scheme to master, especially with youngsters.

But it seems like he was set up to fail.

What’s crazy about our medical staff is as much as we’ve been injured the past half decade imagine if Sarver is cutting cost and gets a medical staff at half the price and half the quality.

Didn't really have time to find out. Players just had a hard time understanding his system...it was too complex for them and then we had the usual shuffling in and out of players and injuries. He basically kept having to dumb down the offense for our guys, but we didn't have a PG all year either and started 3 rookies for much of it, so you can't really expect much.

And after watching Ayton defend at AZ, I'm sure you can imagine how his defense was for most of the season at the NBA level. Many think of him as a huge upgrade from Chandler/Len but on the defensive end he wasn't for the most part. However, I will say I was surprised at how much he improved down the stretch. He was always ok on ball but got better at times off ball and recovering to the rim. But still didn't play with an edge all that much....so it would be nice if that comes in time.

I was only watching some full highlights videos on YT (especially late in the season).

Ayton was always an easy read for me.
Finesse 4 who thinks he's a 5. His foot speed was always a dark horse but once he gets the defensive juggernaut's label, it's done.

At least now my conspiracy theory fits well: Sarver chose him, which led to this dumpster fire we're currently at. He really needs to sell this team to someone who actually cares about Phoenix.

Karim El-Haddadi

@kareezysports

Breaking News: Monty Williams has accepted a deal to become the next Head Coach of the Los Angeles #Lakers The deal is expected to be finalized upon the #Sixers departure of the playoffs, according to multiple sources.

So... if Monty agreed to deal with Lakers yesterday we would have heard by now right ( now that PHX meeting over)?

That guy said they might get Presti as GM too. And you just interviewed Williams.

That tweet was someone working for some arab newspaper. I doubt the first person who finds out about anything definitive is whoever that is.

As soon as anything is real/official, you will see it from Woj or Shams.

Maybe what the Suns need is a more expressive coach with fire and passion? One thing that connects all the former Suns coaches (other than having a lifespan of a mosquito) is that they were all calm and reserved. Maybe some more eenergy is what those young players needs?

Mike D'Antoni wasn't reserved or calm on the sidelines at all. But hey good thing we pushed him out the door when we decided to buy into the garbage narrative that was peddled that it was bad defense that caused us to underachieve during his time and not bad rebounding, bad luck, and bad officiating.

pushed him ? You do remember Kerr was involved in the ruffling too? That was a clash of egos. but nobody 'pushed' him.

Karim got Kenley Janssen and Dozier to the Dodgers correct back in the day

I started following him with the Ohtani news because he had the Padres getting Ohtani. Alas, Karim was wrong :banghead:

Karim had Hosmer to the Padres at one point. He had Harper to the Phillies before Machado to the padres

Karim had Paul George to the Lakers - he was wrong.

I think he must get "some" information -- actually has probably been more accurate than Jordan Schultz but like all these people, things can "change" to get their reports wrong.

I did ask Karim why a man of integrity like Williams - if he already had decided would give the Suns the time of day? He said it was just being polite and professional. So, I think he is just taking an educated swing and seeing if he gets it right.

Like BWG said, Woj or Shams will let us know
