Sogard continues to hit and prove everyone wrong. It will be interesting to see what they do with him once Bichette, Gurriel and Biggio are ready, since trading him won't fetch us anything of value.

Black watch to the rescue!

Nice that we arent the team getting no hit early on for a change. Thank goodness for the small victories

Thornton needs to practice his throws to first base. I bet he buys Tellez a beer after this game.

I get that low strikes will be called because it's hard for an umpire to always get that call right, but calling this many high strikes in the first three innings should be illegal.

Estabrook's strike zone is massive. Always has been. The Marlins printed out the heatmap and posted it in their dugout last year: https://imgur.com/I8QgOTr

Damn it, if Teoscar had done his job and called off Galvis (I hate to agree with Tabler on anything, but) Thornton would still be flirting with a no-hitter...

Called Vladdy up to improve our defense, clearly. Smart move, it's well known that's what wins championships.

Rangers lead the league in runs scored per game before tonight, with 5.80 but have also allowed 5.66, for 28th in the league.

Lol, yikes. I guess it’s late and you go for it, but he was out by a mile.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

No you don't take that shot. Hard hit ball, cleanup hitter up... You could see he was going to be out by a mile and he was. Wasn't even an accurate throw. Terrible send

That was an exciting play at the plate. Don't blame them one bit for sending Galvis.
