Rozier is more likely gone than Irving.

His whole deal is that the regular season doesn't matter and just wait for the playoffs where I'm an actual genius. Then he gets to the playoffs and pukes all over the court. If you're going to manage your load all year you better come out in the playoffs like Kawhi or LeBron and not Jordan Clarkson.

He had career bests in nearly every category this season, you act like he was the problem when he clearly isn't. It's just flat out too many guys looking to shoot and not play in the offense. At this point I'd ship Brown/Tatum/whatever picks for AD and i'd feel far more comfortable, especially if you let Rozier walk. This team needs a consolidation of talent in the worst way

Kyrie isn't in the same stratosphere as Kawhi or LeBron. It's just a question of expectation, although it's also true that he doesn't help with those type of comments trying to make himself look bigger than he actually is.

Honestly, what evidence is there that Kyrie is better than, let's say, Kemba? At least Kemba isn't injured half the time.

I didn't say he was a problem, just that he's had a garbage post season, which is what he says he's all about. If he talked less I wouldn't care. He's a great player, do it in the playoffs or shut up.

Agreed you don't lead the team by volume shooting 33 FG% 3 games in a row, on 75 attempts.

Kyrie is gone, and we have to deal with it.

This entire year I kept telling myself that the Kyrie experience that you knew was eating at the team from the inside out would all pay off come time for the big playoff minutes.

May this 3 game stretch be etched in our minds forever.

Give me Kemba.

I like a player being confident. you can't always back it up. I still think Kyrie makes a final push to finish this series out but I wouldn't bet on the team . Kyrie is proven enough in the post season that one bad series isn't going to taint my view of him

Kyrie is probably better, but they're very close. Kemba is crazy underrated because the best player he's ever played with is Frank Kaminsky. Kyrie has knee issues that have to be managed year round, so it's a definite concern if he's going to either be injured when the playoffs come around or he's just going to be awful when they come around. But also, if you look at it they don't have any option but signing him to a max (whether he signs it or not, who the hell knows). It's either Kyrie at the max or you just let him go. You can't sign some other FA in his place. But you also can't have him be the best player on the court and expect to win I don't think.

It'd definitely asinine to not want him back. But you probably need him as second banana if you want to seriously contend for a title.

I feel like Ainge has to make a bold move or two no matter what happens now. That game was a great example of how this team just hasn’t clicked and is too shallow offensively in that they look like they don’t know what to do out there sometimes.

Watching this dude play like utter trash in the postseason after he...

- Called himself a basketball genius.

- Said they'd be fine because HE'S on the team.

- Say these last few reg season games don't matter anyway.

- Allegedly aienates himself from everyone but Tatum.

- Whines about how much he hates the media and the spotlight, how he just wants to "perfect and focus on his craft," all while agreeing to do interview after interview with various sports journalists and ESPN hot take programs. Also, not to mention recording songs and filming movies.

- Outwardly expresses how he called Lebron just to tell him how he understands how difficult it is to lead young players - great way to instill confidence in the kids.

PLEASE.

And that's just his off the court bs. If I have to once more watch this mini Lebron dribble around the court as the shot clock is expiring only to chuck some terrible, contested, mid range fadaway I'll cry.

I know he's talented, but holy hell, he is infuriating. And completely blew it tonight. No excuses for his performance. I am emotional right now and maybe I'll feel differently at some point, but I will NOT be sad to see him leave if he so decides. I rather watch Isaiah Thomas royally suck on defense, but bust his behind and drive to the damn paint than this dude for however many more years.

The only reason I would want Irving back is if we got Davis. That's about it. Otherwise he's free to go wherever he wants to go.
Good assessment:

I'll still take this Kyrie over it. It is the most hateable Celtic player I have ever seen. I said it then, and I'll say it again. I couldn't stand him and he was here and I got trashed for it

You forgot when he said he knows how special he is. And the "little things"- as somebody posted our defense allows 20 more points per 100 pos with him on the court in 4 games against the Bucks. The guy he was calling out all season Jaylen has had 3x better series than him.

feel the opposite. The idea of Kyrie leaving is 100% laughable

I want him to stay, but why would he?

Positives -
1. He likes to play for Stevens

Negatives -
1. Early exit in playoffs
2. No other all-stars on the team
3. He's had a turbulent year, arguing with team mates
4. Going off on rants to the media
5. Has no real friends on the team
6. He never wanted to be traded to Boston in the first place, we weren't on his list
7. Keen to play with another super star like Durant next year

I think it's a 100% certainty we get AD if we want him. I think Kyrie would choose to play with a team with Horford, Hayward and AD over a trash team with KD. Also its been proven time and time again that point 6 is not true.

I guess, in retrospect, it might be evident why we were able to acquire Kyrie in the first place.

His last big contract can give him the chance to play with his best friend near where he grew up.

I don't think he gives one **** about how good the respective teams are
