Soto, Rendon, Turner and Zimmerman all out for the Nats. Their offense is complete ****.

How long until Moose is moved to 3B, Hiura to 2B, and Shaw / Aguilar / Thames battle it out for 1B?

Provided we bring Hiura up in the next few months, Shaw might be a good candidate to move. He's not owed much money and some team might want to take a chance on him.

Re: Nationals @ Brewers Series Thread (5/6-5/8)
I'd give Shaw more time especially because there is no guarantee that Moustakas is back next year.
And to move him, you'd be selling at an all-time low. Someone may give an equally valued buy-low player but I dunno.
If Shaw is bad all of this year you can probably non-tender him next year but I think someone still is probably willing to trade for him. He may also hold more value than Thames (will cost basically the same) with more positional flexibility. Thames has a $1m buyout and I'm assuming Shaw will be $6-7 million in arby, which is basically what Thames would cost.
Shaw is striking out a bit too much but his BABIP and ISO are low compared to his norms and he's still hitting the ball basically as hard as normal in the air as much as normal. That would suggest that for now he's maybe getting a bit unlucky.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: Nationals @ Brewers Series Thread (5/6-5/8)
Its surprising to me that an MLB broadcast can have a setup that allows for one of the cameras to produce such horrible chromatic aberration. I'd think itd just take a small shift in the angle to lessen it.
only a fan, only an opinion

Dan Jennings might not have a job after the game tonight.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Shaw can't barrel up 92 mph down the middle right now. He missed three pitches that at bat that were begging to be crushed.

Travis “popout” Shaw. Is there a stat for most pop outs? Does he lead that?

AVG .350, OBP .400, SLG .780, and OPS 1.185
Hiura is red hot in AAA, he's hitting even better than he was in A and AA. Hope he gets call up very soon.
