Doesn't have breakaway speed but seems to be pretty good at running routes and finding gaps in the secondary. I think Rodgers is going to love him.

Nothing much you can say other than to wish him well while he deals with this condition.

Heard Wilde talk about this and how the announcement was basically saying something without really saying something, which is of course his right. Nonetheless, found it interesting

Well, that confirms the many suspicions about his health. I'm glad it isn't Alzheimer's, but that still sounds brutal.

https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2019/05/09/silverstein-critics-see-cracks-green-bay-packers-new-management-structure/1142267001/

Every time I read one of these I just assume Elliot Wolf is the anonymous source. I could be wrong, of course, but I seem to remember there were rumblings that he was ticked he didn't get the GM job after they blocked him from interviewing elsewhere:
In regards to Russ ball...

But despite his anonymity outside the building, he is described as a polarizing figure by current and former associates. Agents who negotiate contracts with Ball call him fair and honorable. Others who have left the team say he is an organizational climber, rubs people the wrong way and has a personal agenda that interferes with the cohesiveness between the different departments.

Asked about that, Murphy said any questions about Ball’s responsibilities or performance are born of jealousies that exist over how the front office shook out. He said Ball was an important part of the team’s success and was trusted by Thompson.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Such a a ridiculous article.

The source could be McCarthy, too. He was reportedly unalterably opposed to Ball as GM and that's why they developed this triad leadership structure with Gute, Ball, and McCarthy all reporting to Murphy.

I don't care how they structure it if we win games

yeah just because what they did before worked doesn't mean this won't work. As long as everyone stays in their lanes I don't see a problem. Now if Murphy, for example, decides he knows more than Gute then we will have issues.

We could use a bonafide punt returner and that's this guy. Love that PFF had him rated as 2nd best wr in draft. He can def play and hope he sneaks on this roster for opening day!

I'm curious about the interaction with Jones and the coaches. You'd think with the heavy apparent improvements to the defense coming into this next season, this would be a desirable situation for a young guy. There's an expectation of competition for PT to be sure, but plenty of opportunity with what should be a much stronger cast up front taking pressure off the defensive backfield.

are the packers going to try Josh Jackson at safety? (regardless of Josh Jones being there or not)

Considering they drafted a Saftey in the 1st and signed one of the top guys in FA (pretty much the exact reasons why Jones wants out I'd guess) then probably not unless they feel he can be a Hybrid guy backing up everywhere but they probably would want him becoming a solid CB first before pushing him into a hybrid role.

Too bad...I think Josh Jones could be a nice hybrid LB/S, especially in the running game.
