He’s also signed for 3 more years (last is a player option), so they could keep him through the potential deal of AD, keep a sense of order and help bring that young piece along, and then deal Jrue in another year after. I don’t think it does them any good to trade off both main guys in the same summer like that. I think it’s be better long term in terms of player development to make deals in separate years so they’re a little less likely to get lost in the shuffle and keep a professional atmosphere.
