Had to have a bad game at some point in time, though his shooting was already poor last game

Houston is no doubt a worse team than last season.

healthier CP3 / Ariza /luc >>>>> rivers/house/faried/iman. I bought into the "houston is deeper this year" hype some rocket fans were throwing around but it just isn't true tbh.

Don’t blame them when the rockets are taking so many garbage, contested 3’s

I am saying that the Rockets arent running back on defense.

It’s in his DNA. He can’t help it. His understanding and awareness of defensive attention and floor balance will never be in line with their Core 3, despite all the work they do off the ball to aid him.

Could this be at least part of the reason why they're not a 73 win team anymore?

I’m no expert but it seems obvious. The differentials in offensive efficiency between Curry no Durant, Curry and Durant, and Durant no Curry since KD arrived are stark enough to draw the conclusion his style slows their trademark movement to a considerable fault. Let alone his poor screening, far worse than a Harry Barnes. It’s just a trade off they were willing to make: a less efficient and attractive game to accommodate his historic shot-making ability and length.

I peronally hate it but can’t argue with the Warriors Brass if it results in 3 straight ‘ships.

It is that easy when the player has everything else

Everything else? Elite scoring? Great iso ability? Post game? What's everything else? Was Lamar Odom more shooting away from being a top 10 GOAT too?

No, but Lamar Odom wasn't nearly the defender, playmaker, competitor or leader so the comparison doesn't make sense

Klay measured that last one instead of just letting it fly.

and...I'm done. 11:30 I'm past my bed time and this game is getting out of hand....rockets are off and the refs and happy to kick them over the line.

I really hate that we're at a place in basketball where the refs are at this level, but I can't keep watching some of this. It isn't horrible or rigged, but they're making calls that just take the fun out of the game.

They should be up by 20+. They've spent the last 4 or 5 possession clanking wide-open 3s and Durant even missed a layup in there.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Your evaluation of what it takes to be a top 10 GOAT is way off, that's the point.
