rui and thybulle not going to combine. promises?

it's not off the charts but it's good enough to be quick and fluid to switch defensively. he has the ideal build/makeup for the modern nba. he just kinda sucked.

the extreme lack of lift in the half court is very concerning though. how is he going to finish vs nba defenses? basically a 3 and d guy at this point.

i wouldn't lose sleep, i would understand it. it's more of a reach but it's potentially a bigger pay off than guys like culver/hunter. i might actually agree with that. i'm gonna be disappointed if they pass on garland but i somewhat expect it. they like long athletic types. cam fits.

thats how i feel, you could get the bigger pay off with cam if he can live up to his potential. hunter/culver arent franchise saviors either, they had better seasons than reddish we cant discredit but what does either guy do that cam wont be able to do at the next level? shooting? cam can do it, defense? cam can do it? playmaking? cam probably has the best ground to be a playmaker than either guy.... though i do like culvers potential as a playmaker (im not sure how he will translate in that department in the NBA) dude gives me that michael carter williams feel which isnt really a bad thing i just feel his style of play is more impactful in college and will be brung down to earth in the NBA. but yeah their is nothing about hunter/culvers games we can zone in and say "No way can we pass up on this". They had solid seasons and cam didnt thats all i see.. talent wise cam can be just as good if not better than any of them.

As far as garland goes i like him but very hard to see the knicks going through another point guard. even if they were in position to draft morant i dont see them actually keeping that pick.

And it’s not like Zion wouldn’t fit what they have.

ok this is my final pre-lottery draft strategy

1 - zion
2 - RJ
3 - RJ if Ja got picked 2nd, Ja Morant if RJ got picked 2nd
4 - assuming the first 3 are gone, reddish. otherwise whoever dropped of RJ or Ja
5 - reddish if he didn't go 4th, otherwise idgaf garland i guess

They PRObably are I think reddish would be an alternative scenario selection at 4/5

we can actually know earlier than that. If CHI is 8th we know we will be picking 5th. If PHX is 7th we know we will be picking 5th. If CLE is 6th we 100% know we will be picking 5th...

good point, never thought of it that way. also I guess if the hawks (not the mavs pick but their own) pick 9th

The lottery is the 4 first picks.

We can assure picking 5th if 4 four teams wins the lottery. To each team that wins the lottery, our odds to pick 1 of the 4 first picks will be reduced around 25%.

We have to root to 14) Boston, 13) Miami, 12) Charlotte, 11) Lakers, 10) Wolves, 9) Atlanta (Dallas), 8) Memphis, 7) NO, 6) Washington.

I honestly feel the same way lol. As we get closer I get more anxious. It’s been Zion or bust for me since January and I know I set myself for huge disappointment.

I think almost all of us are pretty much on the Zion train but i wouldn't be mad if we didn't get the top pick but stay in the top 3. Obviously Zion is the unicorn but Morant and Barrett are still really good gets and even after them there's guys like RJ.Hunter, J.Culver and D.garland who all 3 play both sides of the ball which the Knicks absolutely have to have. We need guys that love playing defense. I love Morant and would love to get him to run this team but he's not a good defender but with what he does with his court vision and his athleticism and his just okay shooting i'll take because he can run a team that's for sure. If i didn't get top 3 then i would definitely make calls or listen to calls to trade down in the late lottery while picking up an extra pick or picks.

i wouldn't lose sleep, i would understand it. it's more of a reach but it's potentially a bigger pay off than guys like culver/hunter. i might actually agree with that. i'm gonna be disappointed if they pass on garland but i somewhat expect it. they like long athletic types. cam fits.

I really like RJ Hunter and would take him over Cam if we pick at 4 or 5. I want a guy that has shown he can hit the big shots when the pressure is on and he did that in the tourney. He's also long and athletic.

Hold on.....you get the Michael Carter Williams feel from J.Culver and you say that's really isn't a bad thing? If you get Michael Carter Williams feel from any player you're taking in the top 5 or even in the lottery then that's definitely a bad thing.

Reddish shot 35% from the field overall. That's atrocious.

No one is passing on Zion @ #1. Even if you have someone else in mind, you can get that player PLUS assets in a trade after you pick Zion. Zion has that much hype that teams at 2 and up will swap their draft pick and give up something else valuable for him.
