Isn’t there a fighter where his fans claim he’s undefeated while healthy?

:o

Holy ****, Cerrone laid a beating. As bad as Al beat Lee, this was x2. And otherwise a replica. Including that last push forward as Al/Lee flee for the final 60 seconds.

Al on all-fours at the end of this one.

Cowboy is one of my favorite fighters of all time. I mean the dude had tons of fights before he even got to ufc. I love guys who love to fight and theres nobody better than cowboy for that. I hope he gets his title and defends it every few months like he says. Imagine that, a fighting champion. Almost unheard of nowadays. He's the peoples champion regardless

When do people start to call out Serra-Longo? Has any gym served their fighters up to worse beatings than them? Weidman, Villante, and now Al. Some of the most horrendous abuse ever dealt to fighters has been laid upon them.

They didn't notice a bunch of things happening (like Cowboy being lethergic and **** for the first couple rounds), they weren't pushing Al to freeze Cowboy with feints given all that bumbling footwork...the fact they had Al in that low crouch, just waiting to get clipped by one of those switch counters from Cowboy. Longo actually recommended right hands to the body at some point. Plant that lead leg and swing your head low across Cowboy's body?

That said, tonnes of credit to Cowboy for those horrifying kicks. Holy God.

Idk. As crazy as it is, Al was in the fight until the end with a chance to win. Regardless of bad corner advice. Also, they definitely don't take blame for Villantes foolishness right? I've actually heard Villante say before that the reason he only trains with them part time and not all the time is because they're too strategic and he just like to brawl instead of be as technical as they call for (not making that up).

The Weidman thing though. F*cling baffling. No way to defend that at all. He'll never be the same.

No way. Al was out on his feet as of a couple rounds in. I would bet we hear that Al has no recollection of the last couple rounds. There was a kick/knee that hit a crouching Al in, I think, round 2. And then a couple front kicks that snapped his back. Not to mention the gradual domination of Cowboy's jab and those high kicks. He had no answer, his corner didn't give him any. The fact they even allowed him to enter that fight using a crouch stance seems silly. To get hit with two of those Machida kicks?

I don't see how he was in that fight in any way. Beyond the trivial fact that anyone is in a fight if they have remote KO power.

Same. The first time I saw him fight was the "loss" vs. Jamie Varner. I remember thinking the ending was wack and I decided then that I was a Cerrone fan. I can't believe that was 37 fights ago.

Also, lol @ the event opening with Cerrone riding a horse through a gully in slow-mo, with "for a modern day cowboy, nothing is quiet on the Western front". So corny. Also, that's not a reference to the American West at all.

Miss the good old days of being bored beyond my mind on a Saturday night and channel surfing and scrolling past Versus and seeing a fight on haha. Miss the WEC days.

Worried about Aldo's safety tomorrow. That Australian is a destroyer.

Wow! What a finish in the andrade and rose fight. Rose was mostly dominating, tagging Jessica non stop but that throw straight ko'd her. Heck of a finish. It wasn't looking good for andrade to that point.

Rose is so relieved to be done with being champion and sounds exasperated from training and fighting in general. Talked of wanting to do other things with her life. Isn't making any decisions tonight but at the same time said she kinda knows what she wants to do. I think she's gonna be done.

On another note, how are such throwdowns OK and 12 to 6 elbows are too dangerous? I dont want to be the mom police now but if that throw lands on a slightly different angle that can be life ending, or if youre in luck you end up "only" in a wheelchair :-?

I feel like the spirits betrayed Rose. Why didn't they tell her to let go?
