Frank Vogel expectations?
What are your expectations?
I predict 50-55 win team next year with us getting Kyrie, kemba, or Leonard this off season and trading one or most of the young guns for a big this year. I think we play a lot better than expected. I think defensively we get even better. I think we are surprisingly better offensively next year. Hoping I’m wrong but the obvious is that eventually Kidd gets another try at coach after year 2.

Good defensive team. Lebron runs the offense.

Even if we don't get a 2nd star we'll make the playoffs - we would of made it this year, if it weren't for the injuries and all the BS After that - hopefully this coming year we can limit injuries to 1-2 at a time and we have no BS

This might not be a bad thing as maybe we can save Lebron on d and let him do his thing on offense as he is quite good there

Re: Frank Vogel expectations?
LeBron running the offense is our best option and the best option of any LeBron team for that matter. He's probably the most productive player in the league with the ball still at his advanced age. Shoots over 50% and can lead the team in assists easily. Why not have the ball in his hands a lot.

Consistent top 10 defense. Offense will be Labron kick and dish, pick and roll, or iso on the wing.
I would like to see the Lakers grab a star of either Kyrie, KD, or Kawahi to be the face of the Lakers but let’s put that on the back burner.
Players who will be out either by choice or because we don’t want to resign them - Chandler, Stephenson, and muscala.
That gives us
Ball -
- Hart
Ingram -
Lebron - Kuz
McGee - Wagner
Free agents:
Kyrie/kd/ kawahi
Seth curry
Demarcus Cousins/ Markeif Morris/ Nicolas Mirotic
Terence Ross/ Ariza
Kcp/ Bullock
Kyrie lineup
Kyrie - curry
Ball - Ross
Ingram - hart
Lebron - Kuz - wagner
Cousins - McGee
Kd lineup
Ball - curry
Ingram - hart
Kd - ariza
Lebron - Kuz
McGee - mirotic
Kawahi lineup

McGee - Wagner - chandler

Re: Frank Vogel expectations?
I need to see what happens in free agency for win #s.
I predict Kidd will be like Lue and Vogel will be like Blatt. But Vogel won’t get fired his first season and will rally the team to play with intensity like he did the Pacers. We need to improve our shooting for existing players. It’s a skill.

Re: Frank Vogel expectations?
My expectations are that his coaching will be largely irrelevant compared to the importance of how the roster is constructed this summer.
There were a lot of names out there that would’ve upset me if they became the HC, Vogel wasn’t one of them.

Re: Frank Vogel expectations?
We need a proven second option and shooters in free agency, if we get those the expectations of a LeBron James team are always sky high.

Re: Frank Vogel expectations?
Honestly, it's too early to make any predictions.... We don't know how this roster will look before the start of next of next season.
Free agency is key
Can we get 3&D guys that can cover and support LBJ on both ends
No more KCP for over-market value!!! (We've done Klutch enough favor there)
Will Lebron buy in
Can we get the defensive bigs Vogal needs for his defensive schemes
How will the rest of the coaching staff work out? (would love to get our hands on Phil Handy to work with our youth as well)
ALSO PAY TOP DOLLAR FOR A GREAT MEDICAL STAFF PLEASEEEE!!!!!

Re: Frank Vogel expectations?
One thing I think we can predict regardless of the personnel. We will have some regular rotations and a recognizable scheme for defense this year. IMHO it's a little late for the young guys but consistency from the sideline is going to be a huge plus.

First thing can everyone stop with the espn narrative about Vogel and Kidd. I also believe the roster is the most important thing.

Re: Frank Vogel expectations?
First of all, a massive free agent signing isn't happening. I don't expect that in the slightest. This front office and leadership is too volatile. If we do, it'll be strictly because of LeBron's recruiting efforts.
I expect a whole bunch of undermining and "sources says" reporting. Eventually, I expect Vogel to be let go and Jason Kidd to be made interim coach sometime in the next 12 months. After half a season of that and a declining LeBron and the realization that we're just not good enough to win a title, I expect LeBron to be traded or simply opt out his contract.
I then expect Jeanie to realize the embarrassment that the whole situation caused and she'll either step down and hand the team to Joey or Jesse or just clean house in the front office and finally start fresh with a basketball person.
Either way, we'll be in the same situation in 2-3 years, only at that point we'll have lost LeBron and most of the young core.

So you’re saying he’s a solid coach on the defensive end?
I know very little about him. Seems to be a decent guy if you ask me. Shaw knows him well.

Re: Frank Vogel expectations?
With these defenders (assuming we get Klay or Leonard) and a defensive system in place, we’ll be running the break and won’t need an offensive system. Really.
Not until the playoffs.

I hope so dude, but it's hard to think positive about this team. They completely fumbled the head coaching search and fumbled the roster construction after signing LeBron. I don't feel positive in the slightest about free agency and the draft.
Now if Kawhi, Klay, Kyrie, Kemba or KD come, it's a different ball game. But I'll believe that when I see it.
I'm just hoping we make smart decisions in free agency and end up with some of the guys that I want the most. Ex: Horford, Collison, Bogdanovic, Vucevic, Danny Green, Beverley, Ed Davis, Mike Scott, Ariza, Seth Curry, Bullock, Ellington. If we could get two of those guys and potentially flip a young guy or two for Brad Beal, I'd be on board and excited about the team again.
But as of now, it looks dark. I have zero faith in management to get this right.
