Right, way less talent and had a chance to win 50 games in the west vs being in the east and barely winning 50 with 3-4 stars(depending on if Embiid was playing).

I'm fine either way.. The main problem is that I can see them hiring a worse coach than brett brown, which is less than ideal.
I think that they will give him another year with the full crew to see where it goes.

The embiid's illness couldn't come at a worse time, that's something that you can't control as coach.

Honestly, the coach that turns around the franchise from tanking to competitive is very rarely the guy that gets to go from competitive to champ.

The final nail in the Brown coffin was the three possessions late in the 4th, right in front of the Sixers' bench. Twenty-three seconds of nothing ending with turnovers. Ran the same play twice and then the third time only very slightly different. toronto knew what we were running and was ready for it. we knew what Toronto was going to do on offense and weren't ready for it. Even Greg Anthony was saying we should post up Embiid. But I guess BB likes 7'2" guys dribble driving. Echoes of last year's Celtic series.

Brown has shown me a lot in these playoffs. If the raptors handle the bucks you would be crazy to fire him. This is a much much better team they took to the brink than that no star Celtics team they lost to in pathetic fashion last year.

Embiid is such a great player. Tell me another 7+ 270 lb C who is as athletic as him chasing down guards in the court and blocking them, switching on wings like Kawhi on the perimeter?

That is crazy. And if he didn’t have to face Gasol and Ibaka, and sometimes both doubling at the same time, he would be dropping 35ppg easy.

How many touches did Embiid get down low with his back to post tonight? How hard would it be to draw up some plays where Jimmy or Tobi sets a screen on Gasol to get Embiid some easy touches down low? Just like Mike Malone gets Torrey Craig to for Jokic.

so after the game Leonard says that Toronto practices that last play all the time. neat idea, figuring out some situational sets and execution for the end of a game. whatever Harris decides, next year i want Embiid playing down in the block with some well rehearsed efficient moves. and maybe something for Ben.
