I had a dream that we had the 5th overall pick, and everyone in the 5 boroughs collectively vomited with disgust.

Then Perry selected Jarrett Culver, signed Durant and Irving and Culver became the next Pete Maravich in his rookie season.

We saw the same sh*t with Burke last year we saw with Mudiay, dude has a fluke year from mid after being garbage which makes him look better than he is, then next year he regresses back to the mean. Dude only had better stats because Fiz was fine with just letting him take whatever shot he wanted with no accountability

Mario had a few fluke good games. Dude's looking for a contract. Both those guys are fool's gold, especially considering their contracts are up, and I ain't paying them sh*t

DSJ can develop into something good though

We can disagree on these young players' trajectory all night. But we can at least agree that Mudiay's improved play was a direct result of this management team, which has a good program in place for developing young players.

What program?

You mean, "Hey, just do whatever you want, we're not gonna run plays, and there's no reprucussions for taking bad shots or not playing defense, as long as you're taking as many shots as you can you're golden"?

Cause that's what we did. There's no system, there's no program, there really wasn't much development, and Mudiay didn't really improve

Wait what? Mudiay didn't improve? Mario didn't show signs? haha OK. We'll leave it here.

i would really much prefer the 5th pick to 2-3 if they are not trading down. it's less cap and a better player.

I don’t know if I have it in me to watch. I think I might refresh to see y’all reactions or twitter haha. Tomorrow will be intense anxiety. We’re **** due. We need it, the NBA needs it. NYC basketball needs to be at the top.

I’ll probably watch, keep it on mute, and peak with my hands covering my eyes.

I’m accepted picks 4&5 but It’ll be a major disappointment I see the Knicks logo at those picks. Picking third is like okay I can dig it, could probably convince the Pelicans to make a move. Or maybe RJ becomes that player we expected before the college season began. BUT we finish 1 or 2. It’s franchise altering. 12+ years of actual basketball.

Is it the person who is the most lucky in Tankathon or are we trying the opposite this time?

We should try the opposite. I was extremely lucky on tankathon 2 years ago so I was allowed to make the lottery thread and I ended up getting us Frank

Why didnt you got banned for that? We could had Doncic instead Knox without your bad luck in this board...

Nah I’m talking about 2017. Not last year. We should have Tatum over Frank right now

A thread was made for me to be banned right after the lottery. I remember lmao. I let the whole board down

I read what you said and countered with how well he played in the 2nd half of the season. Yeah he could be better. He’s a 2nd year player with a sky high ceiling. That doesn’t mean he **** around in the off-season and didn’t develop

he doesn't have a sky high ceiling. that's delusional. he's a role player and overrated on both sides of the ball with lots of mental lapses.

also a common problem with these young celtics, not as good as they looked last year on shooting. jaylen brown is a corner 3 spot up guy.

Its going to be very hard for patrick ewing to defeat dan gilbert son nick gilbert that kid always gets lucky on draft day. That cavs team had gotten the number one pick 4 times in past 16 years lebron james, kyrie irving, andrew wiggins, and anthony bennet.

So a 21 year old sophomore, who helps lead his team (on both sides) to game 7 of the ECF in 2018 while averaging very good numbers does not have a sky high ceiling?

If this dude did this in a NYK uniform, he'd be worshiped. Does it for someone else? Role player.

BTW here's one of the many articles disproving your theory that he **** around during the off-season.

I keep having these 5th pick nightmares too. :(

I'm ready to get this over with.

I'm ok with top 3
