I think I’d rather just decline his option and waive/stretch.
I wouldn't shock me if they went that route. But honestly I could still see a team like Cleveland take him for basically free and absorb him into their cap space. Its not like they will be a player for big FAs so it's a low risk potentially decent reward move for them and if they don't like what they see this summer and in camp they simply decline his option and he's off the books in a year.

Definitely... but also to be fair to Josh...Jones needs to hear his story first... I think he was at the festival with Ayton/Book/Oubre. If Book sticks out his neck for Josh, that could have some impact on his future..
Really any circumstances around this are probably pretty much a young dude doing something dumb but overall it's not a big deal. It's another mark against his decision making but that's about it.
Ive been a vocal advocate of getting rid of him for his play on the court which is abysmal. You just can't play a guy that bad in your rotation if you're trying to win. I've been hoping to be proven wrong but I had major concerns about him by like his 10th NBA game. He's just not good.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.
