that was an amazing night. i was so lucky to have been invited into a buddy's box. we were pretty much right behind the Raps basket when Kawhi hit the shot. holy crap what a thrill! the ACC or whatever the hell it is now was LOUD throughout the game (despite how many of our shots were clanking) but when that shot finally dropped it was freaking mayhem. just awesome.
random notes from my game experience:
- i liked the white shirts. snagged a couple for my kids (and one for me of course)
- like i said it was seriously loud in there
- most exciting play of the game before the last shot was when Kawhi ran up and ripped the ball out of Embiid's hands then raced down the court and slammed it home. place went nuts
- dude a few rows down from me had a raps jersey with Colangelo crossed out on the back and Ujiri written in above it lol
- second favourite play of the night apart from the shot was when lowry slapped that rebound away from someone (Embiid?) and fed Ibaka with the back pass who lobbed it in. insane!
- our defense was so freaking intense. how many times did they get shot clock violations?
- you know for all the fear (I shared it) of Tony Brothers and Scott Foster, and despite the 76ers having way more free throws, i felt like it was quite a fairly officiated game. good for them. good job refs.
not really much different from anyone else to say other than wow. that was fun. gonna be even better when we win the title in game 7 at home on another one of those rainbows from Kawhi
