everything that followed was. my thought was genuine. image if westbrook was humble like that? westbrook's humility, or lack thereof, has been a legitimate topic of nba discussion the last two playoffs. it would do him some good, imo!

you can feel free to disagree with that. and i know you do. and that's fine. but instead of disagreeing, or observing, you whined about trolling and it went downhill from there.

so either stick to basketball or just stop dude. i'm sick of everything getting personal with you. you're not even the one who banned me.

Stop playing innocent. It would be believable if almost your entire posting and interactions since I joined this forum didn’t say otherwise.

You took Bondom post and immediately went back to basically your entire standard operating procedure.

i try to never get personal. bondom is crossing a line. my thoughts on westbrook and coaching and all that have been mostly consistent for years across numerous platforms. no trolling here.

can we stick to basketball, please?

Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

what do college coaching positions pay these days? he'd presumably, assuming he isn't fired, have to leave $5 million on the table to take a job like that.

one coaching name linked to sam presti heavily in the past that nobody's brought up here lately is kevin ollie.

should donovan go from nba to college this summer, he'd be the winnigest coach (by w-l %) to do so at .607. avery johnson at .577 next closest. then larry brown. interesting that johnson and brown both could be characterized as difficult personalities. bob hill seems to be the only other with > .500 career nba record who did so, and he is also a grating personality.

Tramel is very adamant the billy has no interest in returning to college. He has no desire to start recruiting again. Take it fwiw.

I can't see Billy leaving with a year left on his contract for Michigan. Michigan isn't a very prestigious job, it would be a clear step down for him from the NBA. Some have cited perhaps he wants to get back into college, but he's been (relatively) successful in the NBA, so I'm not sure what the rush would be there. If I'm him I coach out this last year with the Thunder and go from there. I'm sure he would be able to get some NBA job next summer, if he is not retained by us. At the very least there will more than likely likely be programs on the same level as Michigan who will have vacancies next year, if he does indeed want to go back to college. Michigan's coach just left for one of worst regarded franchises in the NBA with pretty bad ownership. Can't see this being the one that would lure Billy away. (If he is fired this is all useless).

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't the Kevin Ollie rumors based more on his relationship with Durant from when he was with the Thunder as a player? Not sure if he'd still be a candidate. Also he kind of stunk at UConn.

Be patient. As long as they can jump high we'll be fine. We can teach shooting but we can't teach someone to win a dunk contest.

Got really excited to come here after seeing the news of Donovan being 2nd favorite for Michigan job, but apparently you guys have shut that down already. SAD! :(

i forget what oliver's original splits were, but as i understand it the last several years eFG became even more important, while offensive rebounding became less important. it's amusing how opposite we are at the factor level.

we were negative efg differential even as late as early january, i think. with a 5+ srs. i believe we would have been the best negative efg differential team of all time at that point. it's hard to win when you lose efg.

Original was 40/25/20/15. It's closer to 53/22/15/10 now. eFG/TOV/OReb/FTr

It's one thing to be a bad shooting team. But this is just not good enough to actually compete. Since Durant left, the Thunder are

23rd in eFG% (out of the 7 worse teams, only Detroit and Orlando even made the Playoffs in the last 3 seasons)
24th in TS%

We can't make jumpers and we can't make FTs. How is this supposed to work?

it won't. we were 7th offensively in 2017-18 despite relatively low efg because our offensive rebounding was nuts. not only is offensive rebounding losing relative value on its own, but we regressed as a team.

our ceiling playing this way is probably grindhouse memphis.

In 17/18 Westbrook wasn't playing like a potato all year long and we had several guys actually making 3s. We were -0.04 in rel eFG% in 17/17 and -0.10 in 18/19. We were 14th in catch and shoot eFG% in 17/18 20th in 18/19.

The offensive boards were never gonna stay at that level now Russ cant shoot. Just put an extra body on Adams. Grant and 2Pat will NEVER hurt you on the boards. Easy 1 and done possession where Russ threw up something awful with 16 seconds left on the shot clock.

Robes was missed on the boards more than people realise. Robes was an excellent rebounder who was very smart with his positioning.

Melos only real positive was that he had the defenders respect out on the 3pt line. Taking away the other teams 4 from the rim. Westbrook still had the defenders respect also so the paint wasnt just hanging on to Adams like it was the 2nd half of the season

Well if PG13 wants to join LA we could get the 4th pick and some garbage young players.

I'll take Darious Garland with the #4 pick and make him the starting PG. Russ can still start at the 2 and he can run off screens and earn his inefficient touches. Actually, I might bring Russ off the bench so he can do his inefficient stat chasing with the bench unit. Trading PG would keep OKC out of the playoffs next year. Trading Russ for the #4 pick, Garland, and some young Lakers might get them to the 2nd round.

There is a big drop between number 3 and 4 in the draft. I’ll trade Russ for number four but not George.
