Because he wasn't being considered for the HC. Too many people buy the dumbass narrative of the national media regarding all that is LA, NY or whatever. If the morons who buy this theory actually believe it, what is Vogel missing? Would he actually accept a HC position knowing he could be canned for his assistant? Just BS.

I disagree tbh....I guess I’m one of the sheep on this issue. I don’t think vogul goes into the job thinking hey “I’m gonna be replaced by an assistant” I think he has a belief in himself that he will have success and it won’t be an issue.

He got fired from the pacers and immediately hired by the magic and the team won less games with him as the coach both seasons than with the team before him and then the magic replace him and make the playoffs immediately.

He’s lucky to get another job this quick without becoming an assistant coach first. I think he was so thirsty for a job and had a belief in his ability as a coach- delusional or not that he was going to agree under most terms. The problem is Lebron will listen to Kidd over him.

You are missing the overall point. If this was the Lakers' plan, then just hire Kidd. And I would like to think professionals have some integrity and self worth to go into a situation as a sacrificial lamb. Doesn't matter, it'll be a failure either way.

No I actually agree with your point. You asked a question in your post about why vogul would accept a job under those conditions - that many have actually wandered. I agree another disaster by LAL

Couple new coaches and wtf vogel? Am I the only one that thinks he sorta walked over the picket line so to speak? I'm kinda rooting for Jim though although cavs will stink I hope he get at least 1 playoffs series out of the 5 years. Loving the lakers circus, hope they miss playoffs all of his career there.

Lol, if they permaed Cave over calling someone a sexist Neanderthal, I can't see myself making it through this year alive. I'll try my best but seems doubtful.

Have most of the numbers/contact info of the cool people here but if you don't have my digits and want them, please PM me as soon as possible, lol.

Random note on the Sixers: Brett needs to be released immediately. Redick was a more functional and effective coach for the Sixers this post season (dude was amazing for them on the sidelines). I honestly see JJ in a HC or GM role down the line. Great basketball mind.

We'll see if we can make it through the summer......

I behave well but no more cave is really bad news.

The founder of the Knicks scenario too btw. :(

This gives me a bad feeling about the offseason too without cave around. How can we discuss the in's and out's of this team without him giving his sarcastic witty responses?

I havent posted here much for a while now...for quite a few reasons. The strange thing is that I don’t even read the forum more than a few times a week any more. Which is why I had no idea WTF happened over the course of a few days. Just been a lot of **** said on here that I disagree with by a lot of people. Theres 8-10 posters who I stop to read every one of their posts while scrolling through. Cave was definitely one. As are the two of you.

Not going to challenge Parl’s decision (another great poster) but the loss of Cave is definitely a massive blow to a forum that’s been on a steady decline for a few years now.

Really feels like the IT era split the forum and divided a good portion of the base. At least, that’s how the timeline goes in my head.

Sigh. You're a good dude, but as an FYI, you can't really ban anyone. Only thing you will do is dictate what handle they post under. Which I will still do anytime I feel like it. Sorry, lol.

P.S. Way to toe the line on this ape's lowkey outrage over whether women are capable enough to ref a basketball game. Ridiculous.

Ridiculous to get triggered over Silver's non-statement.

So this is another account of yours, huh?

Jeanie can say in public that she didn’t acquiesce to Lebron. It feels like they care more about saving face in the public eye than actually doing the right thing.

La being a mess is the only silver lining I have for the most unenjoyable Celtic season of my fanhood.

This board was split by the dumbass IT garbage, the divide on Smart got nasty constantly, and this season unfolding like it did was the final straw. Cave was on the right side of IT/Smart too btw, him being banned just brings the down the already rapidly dwindling quality of this board.

Hey man. Feel free to give me a warning because you don’t like someone questioning your decision.

I would say cave was right the NBA could use more female refs. Because Men tend to bring their own testerone fueled ego when making decisions.

There's a simpler answer for this than the malign one you've glommed on to. The Air Force requires higher ASVAB scores for entrance.

If the Wolves end up replacing Flip's kid and hire another coach, Wyc and Danny might as well start planning KG's number retirement ceremony for this year. There won't be any point in waiting for the Wolves to do it first, because that would probably be the final nail in the coffin with regards to KG's loyalty to that organization.

Definitely the GOAT of this forum. Mang is on some sort of higher level of existence entirely so I don't count her.

Dude literally had like three misses his entire time here on all of his strong, unique takes and one of those misses was the quality of Game of Thrones this season  . He knew more about basketball than any of us could hope to. Complete badass of a poster too outside of basketball. One of the best insiders we had.

Sucks for the forum obviously but at least I'm finally the flyest dude here now.
