Can you imagine if Boston moves up from 14 to 1? OMF.

Keep him off the Mavs and I'm good.

Some surprising names withdrawing from the combine, including Okeke and Thybulle who would look to be bubble 1sts. Okeke obviously wasn't going to play or test regardless.

I'm in the extreme minority probably, but I don't think Zion is that great of a prospect. I don't think he'll be a bum in the NBA but I don't think he'll be this transcendent prospect people have made him out to be.

Rooting for New Orleans or Atlanta (the Dallas pick not being conveyed) to come up big tonight.

Lotto preferences:

New Orleans: I think Landing Zion and getting AD to have a change of heart would be tremendous. That or they make the AD trade and rake someone over the coals. I just generally feel bad for that fan base as I'd be inconsolable if Giannis demanded a trade.

Phoenix: I want them to land at 2 and get Morant because I think he's gonna be just as impactful as Zion, may be the safer pick and they need a point guard.

Dallas: Porzingis, Doncic, Zion would be terrifying but a ton of fun.

Would hate:
Boston
LA
New York
Chicago

Obvious reasons are obvious

I have pretty consistently said that I think Zion is an all star caliber player from year one, but has some limitations in the modern NBA that cap his ceiling from becoming the “generational talent” that many declare.

It will be interesting to see how he is “officiated.” If they give him whistles and foul calls whenever he is touched, he is going to be as dominant as advertised. But if they let big and strong forwards wrestle and hand fight with him, he is not going to be able to get lots of separation. Nothing to diminish him as a prospect, like I said he is going to put up all star numbers out of the gate. But I can’t call a guy “generational” when I survey his position and would rather pass to: Giannis, Paul George, Durant, Kawai, or Anthony Townes.

Super fun player to watch though. Just not the second coming of Lebron some say is imminent.

All the hype sucks, but I have no doubt he's at least a borderline all-star right out of the gate. Incredible physical ability? Check. Skilled? Check. Smarts? Check. Motor? Check. Total package. The only question is if his body will hold up.

Randle isn't in Zion's world as an athlete, also isn't the defender or skilled playmaker.

Agree on all points.

Im like a French food critic complaining about the “mouth feel” of the mignon. Zion is absolutely going to contribute to highlight reels and win totals with his playmaking and crazy strength, on the perimeter. My complaint was I don’t think he will do that against the absolute elite, freak, two way wings. But again, if that is the only knock against a guy you still take him #1. I love completely unique players, and there has never been a 6’6, 285, chiseled, skilled perimeter playmaker. I think his ceiling is going to be “Phoenix Barkley” but with 40 extra pounds.

Its not the worst comparison I have ever seen (physically). But Zion is considerably better at dribbling, passing, and elevating and those three things can separate prospects in a hurry.

Zion is so explosive with his first step and change of direction. I think he'll be a revolutionary big if he stays healthy.

He'd be an extraordinary athlete if he was 6' 180 lbs. But he's 6-6 285. He's a total anomaly.

Zion will come out posting 18/10 numbers right off the bat. He's probably going to have to add something to be the franchise leading superstar (jumper, handles, playmaking - something like that).

My (metaphysical, lol) sources tell me that a team associated with Michael Jordan is going to win the draft lottery tonight, so Bulls or Hornets. We’ll see if it plays out... ; )

How scary would the Hornets be with Zion?

Second coming of Larry Johnson, aka Grandmama?

I'd love to see him go to Memphis. Zion and Jaren? Hell yeah.
