Honestly none of this matters. With Zion+Ja coming West, Lakers getting another piece, Mavs with Doncic+KP I can't see how we even get near the 8 spot soon

Sure but takes two to tango on a trade.Gorilla Warfare wrote:Trade 6 for a veteran PG and a future lottery pick in a better draft.

Knicks can't be too upset. Instead of Zion, they'll just sell Griffin on the idea of pairing Zion with Barrett at #3 in a package for AD. Lakers are probably going to try doing the same with their pick, but I'd imagine there's a solid value drop at #4.
#6 really hurts us. We'll be lucky if Garland or Hunter are there. I'd have a hard time getting excited for Clarke as the result of this terrible season. Trade value isn't exactly high with this pick either.

In a top heavy draft like this?!?!?
Lillard might be Garland's best high end comp, though we have little college film to go off of. But a great shooter off the dribble who can make the smart pass when needed.

I hate that LA moved up 7 spots but hopefully this is the beginning of the end of epic tank wars.
This is karma for all that "oh these games are meaningless, might as well lose and get a higher pick" nonsense

I think this might be the most disappointment I've felt in a long time being a Suns fans given that I've been practically numb for the last 4 years or so. I really thought Ja Morant was destiny.

Trade with the Knicks for a future 1st round pick. You know they’re going to be lottery bound for a while. No chance they get KD or Kyrie now.

I'm also not so positive that Memphis will take Ja 2. That's a place that makes a ton of sense to take a swing with Barrett. They could use a premier scorer.

Well if you think Garland and Hunter are gone would you be upset with Culver?

I was hoping we at least got the #3 pick and then see if the Sixers would be interested in a trade for Ben Simmons but with the 6th pick what the hell can we do with that?

I sure wouldn't be. Culver falling to 6 would be awesome for the suns from a value perspective.bwgood77 wrote:darealjuice wrote:Knicks can't be too upset. And they wanted wings at the trade deadline.
Remember how they wanted Oubre more then we did?

Silver linings... As I stated earlier I truly don't believe there's much difference in talent from 2-6 in this draft class. They save a little cap space with the rookie deal. But maybe most importantly this will basically force them to go the vet route to solve their problems instead of talking themselves into someone like Ja being an immediate savior. Time for Jones and crew to get to work.

At this point, I think the best course of action is to take Clarke, and then move Warren/ Johnson's expiring/Jackson and a protected future first to Memphis for Conley.
Or if they keep the pick and can't find a trade partner. Then my board looks like this:
1- Clarke.
2- White.
3- Reddish.
4- Garland.
5- Culver.

Our highest odds by far were #6....almost double our odds for 1, 2 and 5...more than double the odds of 3 and 4. http://www.tankathon.com/pick_odds

Re: 2019 Draft Discussion - Ball Grabbin' starts at 5:30 AZT TODAY!
Knicks will end up trading their pick, Knox, Robinson, Frank Ntisomething, whoever else to make salaries work for AD if they are able to land Durant/Irving. We can hopefully trade our pick, the Bucks pick, a future pick (top 4 protected), Tyler Johnson, Josh Jackson (salary matching purposes) for Jrue Holiday. We'll end up having around $16 Million in cap space even with Oubre's cap hold and Richaun Holmes cap hold. It's time to pull the trigger and cash in our chips.
