Nuggets Free Agents

Sure, Millsap is a team option but still a potential FA.
Lyles, Lydon, Thomas are all FAs.
Which should the Nuggets keep?

I voted for Millsap and for NONE in the same time because I don't know which is his price. If question is his original 30M team option I'm against.

I don't see any way that they bring back Lyles or Thomas. Lyles obviously fell out of the rotation so far that Malone would not even put him into playoff games when it was obvious our bigs were exhausted and/or in foul trouble. Thomas was bad and despite what his fans seem to think, I doubt he is going to get better at his age with his loss of athleticism and speed.

Lydon is interesting to me. I do not remember the last time the Nuggets did not pick up a 3rd year option on a rookie deal (Julius Hodge is the closest I can remember and that was about 15 years ago and he had been shot at that point). He had to have an attitude problem or no work ethic for them to decline his option. So my question is did his attitude or work ethic change enough to bring him back on a minimum or 2 way deal? If so we can use the depth for 1 more year.

Millsap I go back and forth on, I think he comes back, but I worry that he is going to kill the long term cap space for this team while he declines every year.

A typical kroenkeNugs move would be to let Milsap walk for nothing. I think they know how good this team is though and will consider bringing him back for the 1 year deal.

Lyles they should’ve dealt last season. Surely for something.

As much as I want a big move this roster sets up for bringing back the same team one more season with way more decisions after next year.

In free agency I think the Nugs don’t have to do much. But they should be looking for a defensive forward and maybe a shooting specialist (reddick/ Seth curry type?)

I really think it’s this draft that has what the Nugs need. Get into it

I voted none because I don't think Denver will exercise their team option to retain Millsap at 30 mil. That doesn't mean they can't resign him to a smaller deal later which I think they would consider.

If they let Millsap walk and he doesn't resign then they will have to find a solution at power forward. Lyles doesn't look like that solution.
Canned in Denver.
