Lol @ Bulls. Couldn't happen to a more deserving fan base. Just happy we finally don't have to give two craps about the draft.

Maybe we can snatch one of Atlanta’s multiple 2nds.

Here's about what I know about the NBA draft - The second pick will be a huge fail, and 99% of anyone after that will never matter....

M.Redd, D.Rodman, Millsap, Ginobili, Jokic, Middleton, Whiteside, Deandre jordan, Dragic, Dr.Green, M.Gasol, Lou Williams, and and..as well.

It is more common than you would expect for a jackpot in 2nd round.

Never said they should. But if he was actually disappointed that is probably not good for NO.
All I know is it should be an interesting offseason.

Alot of hype around Zion. Who do you think he will turn into in NBA, got a good comparison?

I don’t have a good comp, idk a 6’5” 280lbs version of Bledsoe that’s more explosive and has better handles? But he is the biggest “star” to come into the league since LeBron in terms of tv contract, advertising dollars, revenue generation, absolutely makes a franchise.

DX mock has the Bucks taking Ty Jerome. I haven't paid a lick of attention to the draft this season, but Porter at #43 and Jeffries at #55 seem like two guys I'd rather have.

What a fun lotto, but I concur with the various posters who expressed a discomfort with how gushingly the commentators talked about Zion. Just say the kid is a great prospect, explain why, show highlights, etc. Then promote a few other incoming rooks as well. ESPN is insufferable with the way they hype certain athletes and teams disproportionately to even what you would expect.

After all the angling, rumors, and smokescreens pass... it really seems like Anthony Davis wants to play elsewhere. And the Lakers getting the #4 probably gives them enough to offer in a trade that makes it impossible for the Pelicans to turn down (due to Davis only being under contract for one more year). Boston could certainly be the surprise team that gets the brow, but LA probably gets it done.

The weird and unexpected thing about yesterday's lotto reveal, no one in the East got significantly better. Outside of Boston going big for Davis, it appears as if the East is going to take a major dump (I fully expect Kawai to go to the Clips). New York will probably get Durant, if all the "insiders" are to be believed. But it will take another 2-3 really smart moves to put a lineup around him that would make them a threat to get to the Finals.

Looks like everything is coming up Milhouse... err Miltown

Even if Jontay can't play next year, I'm all in on him at #30. Loved him last year, still love him this year despite the second ACL tear.

I really like Jontay's game, but no way am I investing in those knees. So much talent projected to be there at 30, imo, at least until more guys decide to go back to school.

EJ: We finally come to the Diesel. Shaq, who do you like at #1? Kenny, Charles, me, we all choose Zion if we're in the Pelicans' shoes.
Shaq: Ern, Zion is good but I gotta go with Giannis.
EJ: But Shaq Giannis is not a rookie, he's already under contract to the Bucks.
Shaq: Don't matter, Ern. I'm going Giannis. Too big. Too strong.

Is the guy available at #4 really projected to be that good that you can add it to a core of assets that the Pelicans weren't interested in to begin with?

If the Lakers landed #3 I could see that being enough for NOLA to pull the trigger. To me this draft is a 2 (maybe 3) player draft. Barrett's game really disappointed me this Year.

My train of thought was that

a. Davis now is in the last year of his contract, and the Pels have less leverage
b. Winning the lotto (Zion) now gives them an easier path to moving on and putting a product on the floor that sells tickets
c. The #4 and Ingram is absolutely more intriguing than say, Ingram and Lonzo

Eventually the Pels are going to have to trade Davis, or lose him. He already ruined his reputation by sitting out half a year, its not like he will suddenly bow to public pressure and happily play for the Pels. Look what Kawai did to the Spurs...

As I said, there might be better deals out there but Davis has the Celts and Lakers on the top of his list

I'm with you. I think Deandre Hunter ends up the best player in this draft.

Happy for the Pelicans. Hopefully they don't rush things up this time and build the team around Zion the right way.
No hay banda.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
