Draft Thread: Knicks got #3 - Combine and Beyond

I just can't feel the hype right now. It was Zion or bust for me. Now...I'm just blah. Whatever. Trade back. Trade for AD to play with KD/Kyrie. Max us out with little to build with going forward. Whatever. Stay with another year of youth movement and a high pick. Whatever.

Now...whatever. I don't care what they do really. I see them going all in and leaving the cupboard bare when it fails. I hope I'm wrong but...after realizing I was a fool for getting my hopes up...I just don't have the energy to be excited about the 3rd pick at all.

My positives...Cleveland/Chicago/Phoenix got hosed and the Dallas pick going to Atlanta.

You all Crazy RJ is very very similar to Derozon... and wants to be great.. He will get all the high end training and HOF's push he needs... Kid always gets buckets... it will take some time but I expect year three he is dropping 20+ ppg on good efficiency...

If we stay at #3.... I will also put pick out there for a trade... B.Beal? Etc.. type especially if KD and Kyrie is coming... Knick management need to have a good read on players decisions... the Draft is before Free Agency.

The thing that makes me optimistic about Barrett is, while he’s not a great shooter, he seems to have drive. Also, his godfather is Steve Nash. Can you imagine what this kid could be 5 years from now under the tutelage?

I have this sneaky feeling that between now and June 20th, after the combines and interviews, Barrett is going to really impress and Memphis is going to take him over Morant. I’d be happy with either guy, but I think Barrett played in the shadows of Zion all year and we haven’t seen the best out of him yet.

Ja Morant also shot 30% from 3 his freshman year.

I think you're right but I hope you're wrong.

I'd want to draft RJ even at #2. But I'm glad the Knicks are 3 because now we won't have to live with the regret of not getting whichever of the two we didn't draft when they turn out to be great.

So what ? Morant will be trash also, he's 160 lbs. But at least Ja, regardless of the CYO level competition can make a free throw. He shot 81%. Free throw shooting is a huge indicator for being able to make an NBA 3.
