Marc Gasol is also a big ass dude. Jarrett Allen is still a developing kid, not even old enough to drink.
We'll need some extra muscle regardless of what Allen does in the gym this summer. He's not going to get his grown man weight for another few seasons.

Dwight clearly had the frame though. He came into the league straight out of high school and, even as a rookie, wasn't as skinny as Allen currently is.SpeedyG wrote:unless he takes what Dwight took...MrDollarBills wrote:Marc Gasol is also a big ass dude. This is why i dont put a ton of blame on Kyrie for wanting out of boston or count that against him.... and again, he NEVER wanted to be there in the first place. but he gets there... as a veteran allstar who has won a title, and has to deal with punk ego maniacs like rozier and tatum who have barely had a cup of tea in the league talking noise like they should be playing over him or getting the ball.

So, Rozier wants to build a super team with KD huh? Lol

Would Nets fans be interested in the Hawks #10 pick for #17, #27 and #31?

Depends on who's available but I could see it happening. I don't think we want all 3 picks(unless its euro stash guys)

sure, why not. we don't need to carry all three picks on the roster as is.

Inclined to say no unless someone we like just drops. Depending on what we do moving forward (especially with Crabbe) we may need those picks to offload his deal or to replenish our rosteratlantabbq99 wrote:Would Nets fans be interested in the Hawks #10 pick for #17, #27 and #31?

Why would you want 1 player instead of three? Especially with Sean Mark's record of finding talent.

because that 1 player is better?
you would rather have pinson, crabbe, and napier then James Harden?

I'd rather give Marks a crack at a top 10 talent.

It's a foolish gamble that the guy you pick will end up being a superstar most draft picks don't pan out.

I get that, but Marks has his own board. Like, we know he had Caris and Allen ranked real high on his board, higher than other teams.MrDollarBills wrote:kamaze wrote:MrDollarBills wrote:

So had we had a top 10 pick in the year we drafted Allen, who's to say he wouldn't have taken him there anyway?
Especially given how the draft is this year, I'm not sure the difference between 10 and 17 is such a huge drop that it's worth packaging those picks.
Of course, Sean could view it differently. I personally wouldn't do it based on my casual amateur evaluations.
And again, I wouldn't do it unless I know for a fact were striking out with FA since we will likely need to use those draft picks to package with Crabbe's contract

correction, most non-lottery picks dont pan out.
lottery picks are almost 5 times more likely to stick in the league and 10 times more likely to become an all-star

Most lottery picks don't turn into a star and that's what some of you seem to be willing to trade up for.

Re: Official 2019 Brooklyn Nets Offseason Thread
Hello.
Yes I'm a Nets fan and some of y'all know me form ND. I've been banned from there and was searching for better blog for a while. I hate this format that why I've ignored it as long as I could. Long story short.
1- we ain't got no post game. Randle can provide that and he plays bully ball. We lack strength inside due to Allen being weak. JR also got talent offensivly that compliment our best player. D.LO is very good at P&R, his mid range game almost perfect. Just can't leave him open when he's rolling to the basket, floder, tear drops etc.
Randle is odd man out due to many facts. We got cap space and system we play do require roll player to get attention. Allen while being great athletic freak lak offensive skills, physical abilities etc. JR can close games for us if other teams willing to go small and we still won't miss athleticism and rebounding ( Yes lack of d can be an issue here, however if game planned... let's see before judging ) won't be an issue.Missing on a talent like that imo is a crime.
2- Caris is my favorite player. Can he be trusted the way he plays? Also will benefit from JR because his mid range game... Just watch Philly playoff games.
3- Dinwiddy best thing that happened to us.
4- Harris great role player that got exposed. He will be THE MOST BENEFICIARY one's we get post game.
5- Keep the cap space for Porzingis. Guy is build for our system. 7.3 Dirk in making
Sorry I don't believe ( and don't want Kyrie and KD ) they coming here. Even if we get them... why destroy this process. Me and VC for press had this argument on ND. He was all about D.Will while I wanted him traded for Westbrook. We could've had B.LO and Russ back in NJ. Let's keep this process right. Din, D.LO, Caris, Harris add Randle and hope we get Porzigis. Money won't be an issue with this owner's. That a chip imo.

Those assets can be huge if used right. Crabbe is another one, will be even bigger come trade dead line. Unlike any other position shooters always have value no matter how contract looks like.
