Rubio is more of a Starting PG, than a Backup.
I can see him coming here, if the Bottom falls out, and both Kyrie and Rozier leave.

Rubio would be awful in Brad's system. Guy can't shoot. With that being said, he's not bad if Doomsday happens and Kyrie leaves. I like his defense.

Good passer tho, and definitely an improved shooter the past 2-3 years. Could definitely fit the system. Also very coachable, which at this point should be taken into consideration, add to that a very high basketball IQ.
Good assessment:

If Kyrie leaves I’m on fence of dealing for AD still to pair with Hayward/Horford or just to make the 3 picks. Sign a vet PG Rubio or Collison. Be competitive and play hard with young guys: someone can step up and make a name from themeselves

Wyc was very careful in discussing Kyrie. Also, there were a lot of pauses before he spoke as well and a lot of “he will make his own decision “ etc. Not very upbeat in my opinion. What that means, who knows. May mean nothing.
