RJ Barrett would arguably be our best player right now with respect to Mitch. If we woulda won the whole thing they woulda started questioning Zion’s position and fit and everything else. If Ja drops to us, watch all the question marks about him come up. So much negativity.

He’s not perfect. None of these guys are but Barrett is gonna be a great Knick. He’s too driven and talented to not be a star. And the bright lights won’t shake him.
Sigh and we’ll probably trade him for AD.

RJ most likely going to be an allstar. But is he going to be like Derozan? Thats is the question for him.

Nowadays there are a lot of athletic freaks around the league.
Anyone under 6'7" needs to be an elite shooter with great range and also great handles to be a legit star.
If RJ develop his 3pt shot, improve handles add a floater maybe then he can become that kind of star player. But right now he look like he can turn to Derozan kind of player. Which is still an allstar player but he doesnt have that edge against toughest opponents.
You either that height+wingspan with athleticism like Kahwi to shoot that ball over Embiid or be like Harden with crafty handle and deadly step back 3s. For 2nd wheel in a winning team I guess you need to be like Beal/Mccollum type of player which still requires great shooting and good handles to operate at midrange.
I cant see RJ becoming a franchise player. But he can be 2nd best player in winning team if he develops his game well.
