Parl, you're a great guy doing what you're supposed to. No one can/will fault you for the decision. In a way, Captain has gone like humblebum - forcing the situation.

It's just that Captain will be greatly missed by many of us. So here's an idea: keep banning the obvious troll accounts, but let it slide if some new poster looks slightly familiar. I mean, it's not like he would be the only one posting under a new name. Some posters even have two or three accounts - very useful for inside info.

Cave is only gone for a month.
He'll be back, folks.

We love you Parl!

Cave go take a break and come back later for the FA madness.

Honestly from what I gather this season, most conflicts resulted in game threads. People really had a tough time dealing with the shaky on and off season.

Maybe we need new rules for next season for game threads. I stopped posting in them lol.

It wasn't just game threads. I stayed out of game threads all season and I still found the forum to be incredibly toxic for all of the reasons Cave stated. This forum was every bit as divided as the Celtics' locker room this year.

I had to stop game threads too. You would think we were a 20 win team, but many here are much happier when we are a 20 win team. So weird.

Greek Freak talking truth about how **** this team was with no playmaking or players willing to attack the rim and the worst leader of a non lottery team in the NBA

"Against Boston, you can go down 1-0 and still be fine," Antetokounmpo said, casually throwing a massive amount of shade at the Celtics. "But against Toronto, it's hard to be in that spot when you lose the first game at your home."

I like how you made up that entire first part like he actually said it, and then posted what he actually did say below.

Not even realizing you did it I bet. I bet in your mind, he really did say the first part.

I'm sorry was me putting what he said in quotes confusing about what he said versus what I said.

Was it Darth?

Seriously just stop quoting me, it's been a decade since the last time you did and the thread wasn't worst for it.

Then don't "translate" something somebody said when he clearly said none of that. He didn't talk truth about who the team had no playing and how players weren't willing to attack the rim, or that we had the worst leader of a non lottery team in the nba. He said none of that. Not even close. That's 100% nothing to do with what he said. All he said is you can go down 1-0 against the celtics and be ok, but not against the raptors.

You can say all that first stuff, but you wrote it like he was saying that. He wasn't. you were. Stop making up lies that players said to further your opinion.

Saw that. He should. It would be an Alpha power move. Yeah, I’m sure he wants to waste away in NO just as AD is whining his way out of town. He should go back, be a top pick next year anyhow.

Great job. I'm sorry quotes versus non quotes are something you somehow struggle with.

Idk, it isn't like he can choose who to go next year. And he's a guaranteed #1 overall.

Lock in those millions bro. Secure your future.

Personal attacks are totally uncalled for on this forum. I congratulate Parl on having the balls to enforce the rules regardless of who the rule-breaker might be.

Pretty sure I had seen seen somewhere pre lottery how much he wanted to stay at Duke. Just saying, might be the thing that does that. Probably highly unlikely for sure but he looked sad and left in a hurry.

I hadn’t seen that view. Regardless, I see people buy media reports they choose to believe, then write off others they don’t like. It doesn’t impact the Celtics in any way shape or form so I am just speculating anyways.

Yeah IT stuff is when this all started happening. Both sides were ‘allowed’ to insult each other, and all it did was drive the quantity of posters off this forum to the point where it felt like there is only a dozen or so posters regularly out here. Honestly I feel like one of them, all this place has become is insults and calling people out. It’s not really that fun anymore. Not even to say I was insulted. I’ve never really been. Just saw it, and it seems like a lot of the current regulars are alright with that style, but meh. Not for me.
